To this point, which Clemson football HC is the G.O.A.T.?

I believe after it's all said and done, Dabo will be the undisputed G.O.A.T. But as of right now, who holds that title? Coach Howard built the program. Danny Ford proved it could be done at Clemson. Dabo has started the Clemson Football renaissance. I think all 3 are close in importance but if I had to rank them today I'd say 1. Ford 2. Howard 3. Dabo

At this point in time, I'd have to say Dabo followed closely by Ford and Howard.

With Records aside - it's just a much more difficult to win in this era. The visibility, media, and competition (for recruits PLUS the conference championship games AND the extra Playoff game) provide a higher level of difficulty to reach the pinnacle.

Dabo has reached the summit at the most competitive time in the history of CFB. Also appears to have done it the right way - clean recruiting, getting and keeping administration on board, and embracing the role-model status he has achieved.
We will have many more coaches, but there will never be another Dabo. Enjoy this period of our history while it lasts!

Winning in a very tough era, putting kids in the NFL, graduating players, positively Showcasing Clemson University, recruiting at a high level, doing things the right way - if Dabo has any deficiencies, I don't see them. He is the G.O.A.T. at Clemson and, I predict, he will be considered one of the greatest in college football by the end of his career. AND, he built the program HIS way. Go Tigers!

plus Danny only reached a high ranking of 3rd for a couple of weeks in 88 before punt rooskie. the 80s were good, now is great. people tend to have revisionist history about the 80s. I remember mostly a bunch of b!tching about the lack of offense and unexplainable losses every year back then but then we'd end most seasons beating a good team in a bowl game so it usually ended in a high note. plus we were a tinge on the dirty side back then (which was necessary to be good in those days). I've never seen anything like what dabo is doing tbh. clean and elite is extremely hard to do
