Agree. Fun to dream but I'll take that DL from Bama over arch any day. My bets on Sark and Texas bul think Lane can pull it out.
Definitely do not think we did ourselves any favors this year. A ton of negative out there over Clemson and the ACC in general... But I just think he's SEC all the way. I'm sure he's concerned on how DJ went from number 1 QB to what's being produced this year. Seriously, with our schedule and the talent we have, Hunter Helms should be beating these teams.

I wouldn't expect what's happening with DJ to affect our recruitment of future QB's with our current coaching staff in place.
First reason is that our current staff can point to what they did with Watson and Lawrence to counter the idea that they can't support an elite QB.
They can also point to Bryant if someone questions their ability to develop players at the position.
But most of all, I don't think it will have an impact because athletes at the level of Klubnick and Manning, or any others we go after, assume that others have weaknesses that they don't share.
Elite athletes have a sense of invincibility that makes them think they don't share the same faults that bring others down.
This may be what is so hard on DJ this season and why his confidence seems to have not recovered fully yet because it likely never occurred to him that he could fail and when he failed so miserably against UGA it kind of shook his core belief in himself.
I don't know that to be the case, but I've seen it happen with high level athletes before.

The issue is whether Kiffen is still at Ole Miss after this year. His name comes up for every open job, latest is UCLA, should that job open this year. Now if he were to land at LSU that would put them in the mix.
