Going higher than #4 ranking
Sep 6, 2013, 11:11 AM
|
|
With the teams that are ranked higher we only need to pass 2 of the three by season's end to make it to the big game.(MNC)
Alabama could lose to aTm, or LSU
Ducks could lose to Stanford. Do they play anyone else tough? Like USC or Ariz, or UCLA??
Ohio St... all I can say is c'mon Northwestern.
Any combo of 2 teams losing would suit me as long as the Tigers take care of business.

TIgers Win Out I Think We Get to MNC

If the Tigers Win Out. They Will Have Quality Wins as Follows:
UGA #5 FSU #6-9 (Proj) USUCK #5-10 (Proj) MIAMI #10-25 (Proj)(ACC CG)
Unless Bama improved vastly over this week A&M will beat them. Stanford and Oregon play each other and some other games they could lose. OSU I think will drop one. Clemson wins out and I think the rest takes care of itself.

I am confident we will win out...

Biggest concern is by the end of the season UGA will not be considered a quality win.
We need Miami to have a big year (beginning this week over UF) and NC State or Maryland to step up and have a strong year.

"UGA will not be considered a quality win." where is that coming from (just wondering how you came to that conclusion)?

They won't be Auburn bad...

...but they could very easily be 1-3 coming out of the LSU game and will likely lose to UF.
This means UGA would have to win out just to go 8-4.
A win over a 7-5 or 8-4 team doesn't look so good at the end of the season.

I don't think we're in a position where we need to play this game to be honest. Our schedule is difficult enough where we should leapfrog any other undefeated team with the exception of Alabama.
It's a great position to be in. We just need to focus on our games and take care of business.

Not sure. If Georgia wins against SC and LSU, it'll boost our win a lot. Assuming FSU keeps winning, Georgia's success will also push FSU up at least two spots before we play.
If Stanford were to beat Oregon, it may not be enough to jump us, since we would have already beaten FSU and Georgia. If we keep winning and Georgia & FSU do too, there's a chance we could be #2 in the nation after the FSU game. At the very least, we'd jump Ohio State and be #3.
Either way, it's best to just focus on the road ahead, and that starts with SC State.

... then an SC win won't mean as much, so it completely balances out there.

of a darkhorse in the PAC12. Not saying they will beat Oregon or Stanford, but they will be giving those teams a run for their money out there.

It never fails, and this is why the BCS always works...there will only be 1, maybe 2 undefeated teams by years end. Teams always screw-up thoughtout the year losing to teams they shouldn't...see Ducks last year. All we have to do is win...everything else will take care of itself.
