That Clemson target at TE J. Skinner is transferring to IMG Academy. This has got to bode well for the good guys!

Seems like we have a lot of TE’s on the team already. We’re going after two big tine TE‘s for 2022 and already have 4 or 5 including the number 1 TE from the 2021 class.
I would rather see us go get one or two more quality kids for the OL. Danny Ford always had an excellent OL. We have not had a really good OL since 1991. Ford always took at least 4, and sometimes 5, OL in each recruiting class.
The glaring weakness on the Tommy Bowden teams and frankly our one real weakness under Dabo has been weak OL play!
We are finally bringing in some four and five star recruits for the OL. We should see a dramatic improvement over the next three seasons. If not, it’s gonna be time to recognize that the problem is on the coaching staff!

It seems like every recruiting cycle we hear about a new world-beater TE coming in. We haven’t had a TE who was truly an impact player since Jordan Leggett left. Since then it seems like the only time we see the TE make a play it’s because the opposing defense forgot that we had a TE and let him run entirely open down the seam like he’s freaking invisible.
If we want to make it back to being competitive in the CFP we need to get tougher and more physical on both sides of the ball, but ESPECIALLY the OL. There’s no reason that OL should be a weakness at this point.

We have not won national championships because of the OL, but in spite of the OL. The last two years our OL has been terrible.
Go look at the regular season games we have lost over the last six years. Every time it’s been because we could not get a first down in a critical short yardage situation.
In the playoff era we have only had a few OL players go to the NFL. Back in the late 70s through early 90s we routinely put OL players into the NFL.
Why do you think we have to use that gimmicky power formation in short yardage and goal line situation? Because our OL sucks!
They have been good at pass blocking, but we have been putrid at run blocking.
Anyone even remotely objective knows that the glaring weakness at Clemson since the Danny Ford days has been the OL.

I would love to see us utilize the TE a lot more. Some of the best college football teams and dynasties have understood how to use the TE much like the NFL. It’s a fantastic weapon especially with our big fast guys on the outside. The middle of the field is always wide open.

I miss the days of seeing a playmaking TE like Dwayne Allen or Jordan Leggett, seems like the position had been under utilized the last several years.

I've also seen reports that it's a good thing for him to change environments going to IMG. He's not at the top of the CU recruiting board but may be a great fit for a back up roll at bama. There were two other uncommitted TE recruits at the cook out per David Hood.
