The difference now is the EXTENT of Booster involvement. They don't have to "launder" small cash amounts, they can throw however much money they want at getting their chosen players. That is why Texas Oil Money is going to have a huge impact.

Texas has a culture problem called "being located in Austin." It is Berkeley East over there. A&M and Baylor have a better chance at success in the NIL world.

A non-profit is giving every member of the Offensive Line at Texas 50k as a gift. Which apparently makes it non-taxable. So yeah....they have bought an entire OL, and yes that includes incoming Freshman

Every position at Texas has its own NIL and the entire team had a separate nil.

Basically every player gets a baseline 100k plus their position nil at minimum before individual deals.

Every player should make at least 650k in 5 years if you include their scholarship.
