I really like their Italian heritage coach who’s last name I can’t spell.

His name is actually Basque. His grandfather was born in Cuba to Basque parents.

They’re (the Basques) not only good basquetball coaches, they’re pretty good cooks. There was a great little Basque restaurant in Yuma, AZ. We would always eat there whenever we did any work at Yuma Proving Grounds. It was only open during snowbird season and closed down for the summer, though.

We saw tonight why Wong was the Player of the Year in the ACC. I don't know if they can hang with Houston but you never know.

And their 6' 7" center is a helluva rebounder! I think

they said he has something like 32 rebounds in the two tourney games!

Best team John Ruiz’s money can buy

They’re the last ACC team so I’ll root for em against the SEC schools but only begrudgingly. If they hadn’t straight up bought Pack, and paid Wong 6 figures to stay, they’d be a sub .500 team. In the last 3 seasons before NIL became legal they were 39-51; 12 games below .500. But hey congratulations on taking advantage of the current rules or lack there of.

I‘m not trying to start anything, but imo really good players can make a coach look good, too. ijs

That’s what I’m saying in those 3 seasons they finished

Near the bottom of the ACC standings at 11th, 10th, and 13th. Then NIL came to be and bam elite 8 last year and at least round of 16 this year.

Nigel pack transferred to Miami because he got paid 800k.

Wong stayed at Miami because they increased his NIL to over 800k

It would be nice if our players didn't have to twist their ####### to get an NIL deal.

nothing wrong with that

I don't want to live in a country's where a rich man is not allowed to buy boys to entertain him.

Isn't that the whole point of getting rich? Make your money, buy some young men, put them in tight shorts and have them run back and forth with balls in hand getting all hot and sweaty.

"Miami's program had four NCAA Tournament wins in its history when Larrañaga arrived; it's won nine on his watch. "
