Has WCCP reached its maximum potential with

their new frequency and 100,000 watts of power... or will I have to get within 25 miles of campus to hear the tailgate show without the static drowning out the words?

They either need a younger hamster or a bigger wheel***

104.9 came in much better for me....

maybe I should start a Clemson station there?

we don't really have a true Clemson station after all...

The old frequency was stronger in the Spartanburg area too.

It's a 20,000 watt station now

Aug 6, 2014, 11:05 AM

It was a 5,000 watt station. I don't understand why, but the signal is a lot stronger north to south verses east west. I can now hear the station driving south to Newberry and north to Asheville, but I lose the station going east between Greer and Spartanburg. I haven't driven to Atlanta yet to see if it's better going west I use to lose the station well before Commerce. So we'll see

If you've been listening to the station for a long time like I have then I think if you're fair you'll have to admit it's come a long way in the last three years. The station overall has improved drastically.

Sorry but south of Greenville is much worse

Used to be able to pick up the station almost to Laurens. Now start losing it in Simpsonville...

The amount of Gamecock coverage has vastly increased though. So there's that.

Sorry couldn't read this due to the static.***

"Roy is an idiot". Ben Milstead is a tool. Other than that WCCP is fine. Weak signal, but ok in a small market. I'm north of greenville right now and it is terrible. Clemson deserves a better flagship station.

Go Tigers!
