One observation of coaches

Sep 21, 2014, 12:16 PM

During the press conference after the Georgia game, Brent Venables claimed responsibility for defense performance and said he had to coach them better. He took responsibility then worked to coach the best defensive play we've seen against Florida. Dabo claimed responsibility for some poor decisions this week. My concern is that I never hear OC claim responsibility. He seems to always put ALL the blame on the players. I think that mindset is problematic for our team!

Well I mean a bad throw, high snap, fumble aren't plays

called by Morris.

But he did call run, run, 3rd and long, punt.

We had the ball 5 more minutes than them, and punted one

less time than them.

The play calling over all was fine.

Except for being in the shotgun with six inches to go.

Not just calls

And I'm not only talking about play calling. But isn't it also his job to coach the players to be able to consistently execute his plays? Could he not say he needs to do some work somewhere????

I don't know how to respond to something this stupid.

Clemson must be the only school in the country

where the coaches aren't actually responsible for fundamentals.

That's because Morris is arrogant.

Sep 21, 2014, 12:31 PM

And quite frankly, I'm tired of it because it has cost us several games.

you guys and this whining about the shot gun is getting annoying as hell. If you have watched any games the last 5 years you will know that we are always in shot gun. when is the last time you have seen us under center? This offense is created from shot gun.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So, You're saying the last 5 years we've been doing this

Sep 21, 2014, 1:03 PM

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The last time I saw us under Center was on 1st & 10 from the 25 in OT last night! If he could do it there, why not when he only needed 18 inches...TWICE! Morris is just trying to cover his @$$ rather than taking responsibility.

Morris can't adjust quick enough... Very stubborn....terrible red zone preparation. Are we ever going to line up under center and run the #### ball, when needed. Other teams with similar offense can do it. Put his ### in the pressbox

Morris blamed himself after the UGA game***

The coaches should have called a TO and made

Sep 21, 2014, 1:23 PM

the ref's review the TD before the "bad snap". The coaches should have pulled every dang RB on the team on that last series "cover the ball w/ 2 hands!!" and made sure that they understood that. The coaches should have realized that Deshaun was a stud and was better in games than Cole - by a WIDE margin. Should I go on? Its not like they are getting paid peanuts - seriously.
