Sounds like that might be the number of transfers ("mutual" decisions) along with offers to HS kids by the former staff that have now been pulled.

It certainly did when Pete Carroll was at USC. He stomped the Sec in every game he played against them. USC was seriously good under Carroll.

That's a reflection of how far the PAC-10 has slid. USC never recovered from Vince Young and Texas beating them. If Riley has similar success at the real USC as he had at OU look for the SEC's lock on having two teams in the playoffs every year get upended (They won't deny the BIG10 no matter how many blowouts they suffer. They make up the biggest student body and alumni associations in the nation). Riley has put his QBs in position to win the Heisman every year. That's a big draw for recruits and there is very little competition out west.

Texas and Vince Young didn’t beat them Southern Cal beat themselves. They just rebound from Coach going to Seattle.

On an XM radio talk show this week, Rick Neuheisel said Riley told 38 players on the So Cal roster they did not have a place on next years SC roster.
