since they put cameras on helmets, why not put like a 1 inch speaker in the helmets and play crowd noise? seems like it would be more effective than a few speakers

Earplugs would not work. They will cause you not to be able

to hear anything, but it does not create the confusion, and the rattled head that a bunch of loud noise will cause.

Those speakers blast crowd noise pretty loudly.

I remember last year before the FSU game being able to hear those speakers blaring the tomahawk chop from a pretty good distance away. I like where you're going with this, but for the time being we do a pretty good job simulations noise.
