She was the sweetest pup to our family. I’m not ashamed to admit I balled. 14 years young and gave us everything she had.

Man don’t ever be ashamed to cry about another being that have you unconditional love. My yellow is on the way down he’s 13 and I am absolutely dreading that day. Done it before and it’s one of the hardest things to do also one of the most humane. Take comfort in knowing you have him a home and love

That sucks.
We had to say goodbye to ours a few years ago and only lasted a few months before we got another... and another.
Most dogs are better people than most people. We could learn a lot from them.

Almost lost my 9 year old terrier mix a couple months ago. Vet had to open her up and remove a corn cob!

He could no longer walk so we had to say goodbye.
It's still hard to look at his picture sometimes.
Take the time you need for grief and get another dog. They add so much.

You’ll know when it is best. They trust in us. Although I would have loved to be greedy with her time it was the right thing to do.
I do urge you, if you can, to be there with them through it. It hurts, but it comforts them. That’s the most important.

My Cairn Terrier is almost 16 years old and has slowed down so much that I know that dreadfull day is coming Still it doesn't make it any easier. Feel for you man.

So sorry about this Knutz-
We lost our Australian Shepherd, Sydney, at 14 to cancer not long ago. We’re still broken hearted about it. They truly are family. I know it hurts like hell, but remember the 14-yrs of joy.

Praying for you my friend. We lost our lab 3 years ago...the same day my tigers lost to Pitt. That was one terrible day. We have two other pups who are 12 and 13 and I’m dreading the thought of losing them as well. I’m a firm believer that our pets will be the first one to greet us when we get to Heaven. It wouldn’t be heaven without our pets right?

So sorry that you had to put her down. That's the worst feeling in the world. We had to put our Yellow down a couple of years ago. He used to lay up in the bay window waiting for me to get home from work and come greet me at the door. I still miss that boy so much.

My lab just turned 14 and is struggling these last couple of months. I have him on thc cbd and it’s helping but my heart hurts knowing his time draws near. They certainly love us unconditionally

They do love us unconditionally Jean, and I'm dead serious when I say, 100 times over I would rather spend the day with my Baby boy than any anybody that I know, that includes my wife and two daughters. I my boy follows every step that I take, and just a pat on the head is all he wants from me for his absolute loyalty. I will tell that he gets long hugs and a few kisses everyday of his life that he's with me. I have had many dogs over my life time, and I have loved them all, and their has always been something special about all of them, but non have ever been as human like the way my now Baby boy is, all 115 pounds of him. He also loves watching TV as much and maybe even more than I do, and he loves western movies more than any!!!

I had to put down our sweet girl about 2 months ago. It was awful and I cried like a baby for a while after. Still miss her dearly. Just know she is in a better place and you’ll be joyfully reunited one day(hopefully a long time from now). Best wishes to you and your family.

I cried every day for a couple of months. Then, one Saturday morning she looked on the internet and found a dog which looked just like the one we had lost. I did not want another dog, but she insisted we go look. It was to be re homed. We brought home a 12 year old with a few health problems. He has helped mend a hole in our hearts, although, we still sometimes cry over out lost one. God bless you. I hope you can soon heal.

Sorry for your loss.
I cried also when I had to put down my 14 year old about 3 years ago. Now I'm looking today in the face of our other dog who is now 14 years old and it's telling in her sight, walk and hips.
I hope you find peace soon but we all know it'll take a while.

My heart goes out to you ! It is a very difficult decision on when to let go but always remember the time you had together and the love they provided. Having done this several times it is never easy but they are not suffering because of your caring. Hang in there . Rod

30 years ago to put her out of her misery after getting hit by a car. It is a miserable feeling that's for sure.
