Here's an interesting question for the bored...

Jan 6, 2021, 11:19 AM

It's not uncommon to see posts about opposing teams with the absolute worst fans.

With a few exceptions, teams like Georgia, Nancy State, OcryO State, LSU, Maryland and uof6c are at or near the top of those lists.

That said, which opposing teams have some of the best fans IYO.

In my experience, the top three would be Texas A&M, TCU and Penn State.

When I was a younger boy, I would have had Penn State near

the top of my list . . . . .

WAIT - what was the question again ?

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

I have always been treated in a very respectful way by the Boston College fans. I’ve never had a bad experience on trips to Boston and if you haven’t been, you are missing out on a great road trip. This is especially true if you visit during baseball season because Fenway Park is a must see for sports fans.
A young city. Thousands and thousands of college students wherever you go.

Harvard, Boston College, Boston University, MIT, Northeastern,U Mass. and others. If you are older than forty you might feel out of place,

Those are all good. I also have had good experiences with Auburn folks.

Honestly? Alabama fans. I've had multiples Tide fans randomly tell me they really like Dabo. Even after 2018 NC game.

You obviously didn't go to Atlanta in 08***

Nope and I don't doubt their attitudes were different with Tommy vs now with Dabo.

represented several of the newer teams in the ACC - Pitt, Louisville, and BC.

I have been to Auburn several times, and always been treated well, but was there with really good friends who were Auburn fans, so that may not count.

and Wake. Been to Wake more but I don't think their fans really care. Great experiences at College Station and Blacksburg. I have some good friends that are Georgia fans, but my game-day experiences there are not so good. USC is a terrible place to go, and their fans that I am friends with are always just on the edge of being jerks if they are winning.

friendly at the last three games, two of which Clemson won the CFP. I attended all of these games, even the 44-16 drumming and the Bama folks were very friendly. I joked that they were trying to keep a good relationship with Clemson hoping that Swinney would go to Bama after Saban leaves.

My two others, Auburn and Boston College.

A&M fans were great when they were here.

Boston College, Auburn, and Texas A&M stand out to me.

Jan 7, 2021, 7:03 PM

Always extremely friendly and gracious, whether hole or away, in victory or defeat.

Most opposing fans are nice in general in my experience though, except those mentioned (South Carolina, Georgia, NC State, Maryland, and LSU) who seem to have way more bad fans than others.

Stanford

Years ago Clemson met Stanford in a bowl game. Across the board the Cardinal fans were polite, complementary, and knowledgeable.
