Happy for Stafford and the Rams

Feb 13, 2022, 10:08 PM

He's earned it after a long suffering career in Detroit. Bengals will be back. I hate to see any LA team win a championship, but happy for Stafford and Kupp, among others.

Stafford deserves it. After suffering for many long years in Detroit, he finally gets his ring.

Outhouse to the penthouse. Lions arguably worst franchise in sports.

IMO, Barry Sanders was the best RB of all time. What did Detroit have to show for it? I think one playoff berth.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

One heckuva game. Darnold is a beast.

happy for Kupp

not for stafford. he isn't a good QB and was bailed out by Kupp all year. also, screw UGA

You're an idiot. He has nine 4,000+ yard season in his career. He has a 2-1 TD-INT ratio and is in the top 10 in stats historically. And that was with playing without any WR stars most of his career and always having a bottom 5 offensive line.

Agreed. I always liked Stafford. He's clearly a class act. And if we were on a better team all his career, he'd be considered one of the best QBs to have played the game. But he got stuck with Detroit for a decade.

Happy for Stafford, Donald, and Whitworth. Good dudes that deserved this win.

Not completely buying the ‘Bengals will be back’ narrative….

Feb 14, 2022, 8:35 AM

They made a nice run this year…won very close games to get there.
In their own division, they’ll have to deal with Lamar Jackson coming back (he missed about half the season). In the AFC, the Chiefs and the Bills even the Titans with a healthy Derrick Henry (he gave it a go, but was clearly not 100 %) are all likely to be back. Chargers with Herbert are probably close as well. And there’s usually some team that rises up. Plus, the year after a Super Bowl, schedule is often tougher in regular season.
It’s hard to get to the Super Bowl. Not automatic that the Bengals get back there.

They overachieved this year and were helped out by the misfortunes of some other teams, but they also will likely improve this offseason. That offensive line can't get much worse. If they get a couple of solid starters there to go with a lethal passing game (seriously Tyler Boyd would be a #1 for a lot of teams and he's their #3), they'll be right back in it. Cleveland and Pittsburgh are likely going to still have QB issues next year, and I still don't trust Lamar outside of the regular season.
