0, 9, 84, and maybe 8(?) are the only players that catch the ball, and get separation consistently.
Bench the rest.
I'm tired of seeing 80, 10, & 6 looking like the defender is inside their own jersey. This makes it very difficult to catch a well thrown ball. Then there are the drops, and that they don't seem to fight for the ball.

Big time misses in the WR room. Williams is the only one at the moment that looked to have next level talent. Randall could get there potentially.

Coaching OC and DC coupled with QB are our issues. This staff has zero chance on ever winning another national title. Zilch. None.

but Dabo's bread and butter is recruiting. It has worked because he's pulled in elite playmakers. WE just have missed on a couple this go around. But we're a couple players away from being elite. We have a great base but are missing the isaiah simmons type on defense and the sammy or deshaun type on offense. Meaning those players that late in games take over and win with that good base of players behind them to push them over. Without deshaun we dont' beat bama in 2016. He willed that thing in that 2 minute drill. And i don't know how many games sammy just took over and couldn't be stopped (ohio state game comes to mind where he had like 18 catches.) Whos' that guy on these teams? I do like #1 but you can only do so much at RB with average blocking. But he does alot. Thats about it.For dominant. Defense is good but no dominate players on DL or backfield.

You’d be surprised how many times 80,10,6 has been wide open, or on the inside of the defender enough to be thrown open. DJ doesn’t help them at all the secondary knows exactly where the ball is going. There’s a bunch of tape on YouTube showing Clemsons open WR that DJ has missed, but if you watch a game in person focus in on the WR they are open

Good point about Sammy against OhioSt, or Nuk against LSU. There was a time when the offensive staff would recognize the hot hand or the best talent and just keep getting them the ball. Shipley should have been that guy on Saturday. If they had just stayed in the two back formation Shipley could have used wide, and run routes downfield (RB pop pass, wheel route, etc). Mafah could have been used with the toss sweep where he excels. With the WR ineptness right now, there’s little need to put four out there every play as most can’t even block. Go with the extra RB and the two TEs more. That’s where the bankable talent resides. Of course all this depends on a QB that can distribute the ball.

Look at what Tennessee did with the portal after losing 30+ players less than two full seasons ago.
If Dabs is worried about culture with the portal, he can get talented character guys and teach them the culture.

In my opinion you sit DJ and go ahead and hand the reins over to next years QB. This offense is stuck in neutral and it has been proven that DJ just does not have what is needed to run this style offense.
This changed for me as I have wanted DJ to be the man. Cade needs to get on in there and gain experience. He is a little hyper in some throws he tries to make but experience should help that. He cannot be judged on the little bit of playing time he has had.
If progression has not been made in our next 4 than the highly rated QB coming in for next year can expect to battle for the starting job. Hopefully Cade will be the man for the next couple of years. Great mobility and with a little discipline could be what is needed to light a fire in the offense.
Honestly I cannot see how our OC can open the playbook when we want to run an RPO style offense with a 3 step drop back type QB.
