due to some distractions while getting ready to leave for work, I left my cellphone setting on the dining room table. Didn't realize it until I was already at work.

Wow, how freeing it was not to have that soul-sucker tethered to me all day. The air was fresher, colors were brighter, life was fresh and new.

But the topper was late in the day - I was in my boss's office and a co-worker walked in and remarked "Hey, I tried to call you earlier". Instead of making up some lie about missing/not returning his call yet, I just stated fact right in front of boss: "I forgot my phone this morning, it's at home." Without missing a beat, boss replied "Yeah, I did the same thing one day last week. Best day of work I've had in months."

I might just start "accidently" leaving that Satanic device home more often.
