Arch made the right decision. Georgia not a good fit..

Jun 23, 2022, 8:44 PM

He is a good kid and a good player. People can knock the private school level of competition he faced all they want to, but the guy can play. Plus, he is smart and will be an asset to any program.

Was he ever going to honestly ever start at Georgia? Did Kirby speak hard and honest with him about his chances at Georgia of meaningful playing time? Many have their suspicions. When you look at the level of competition he would be going up against it is very debatable. At Texas, most would say he probably would start at some point. Plus, while Texas is still in the Big 12 he could get acclimated without the shell shock (NOT A FLAME BUT REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO DJ FOR CLEMSON IN THE OPENER LAST YEAR) With UGA already coming off a National Title and with three 5 star QBs already on campus..

Texas makes the best sense and I want this kid to succeed.

I would hope that everyone will pull for this young man. Quite frankly, I hope he will start one day at Texas or at least get meaningful playing time and have a great college career and make a good businessman after college - he certainly has the name!

Ok, Saluda Valley today. 36-40-76. Not my best. But, I enjoy playing different courses each week and I really LIKED the course.

I WILL SAY THIS - home #16 CHEATS!!!! I hit an 8 iron to just off the back of the green and then PUTTED IT OFF THE FRONT OF THE GREEN. Unreal. Unless you hit the flag it ain’t stopping. Double bogey. Went from 2 over to 4 over. Still, it was a great day and I feel greatly blessed.

Hope everyone is well and it looks like Clemson is doing pretty well in recruiting ??????

Outside of getting laid at UGA were they ever really a contender? I don’t think QB’s want to go to a school to hand the ball off. I bet Texas showed UGA receiver stats to Arch and he said, “why would I go to a school that hasn’t produced more than 1 1,000 yard, single season receiver”

Josh Pate at 24/7 Did a whole segment on Manning.

He’s considered by many as the biggest recruit in college football history.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Sour grapes much?

Jun 24, 2022, 6:29 PM

Watch the tape, Quinn Ewers is in a different league than Manning. Manning didn’t even do the camp circuit, elite 11 and plays in a garbage private school league (which he never won state)…. Yet some how he’s the highest rated recruit ever. GTFO.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

First, what does this have to do with Georgia?

Jun 24, 2022, 9:50 PM

Ewers is at Texas.

He’s a total ###### bag head case. First he goes to Ohio State now he’s at Texas. He’s all over the place. And if you get online and read some things you’ll find that it’s not a given he’ll be the starter at Texas. Probably but a lot of Texas people online think the other kid is better or equally as good but there is concern about Ewers from an emotional standpoint.

Cade Klubnik outplayed him their senior year on the field in the championship game for Texas’ highest classification as well as at elite 11.

You can have all the talent in the world but if you don’t have what it takes in between the ears it doesn’t matter.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ewers skipped his senior year

Jun 26, 2022, 8:31 AM

Reclassified and enrolled at OSU for the NIL payday. Maybe it was their junior year.

Re: Sour grapes much?

Jun 25, 2022, 6:01 AM [ in reply to Re: Sour grapes much? ]

Stupid take- Manning is THE Best QB prospect since Trevor Lawrence. The kid has size, great football IQ, humble & willing to be coached, a great arm with touch, & enough athleticism to move around or scramble if need be. Nothing not to like. And his name alone will put butts in seats- period. So what he didn’t choose Clemson- we got an excellent QB in Vizzina. But don’t let your orange glasses cloud better judgment- that is if u know what your talking about. Thank God he chose Texas & not UGAy or Bama- GO TIGERS!!!

Jun 24, 2022, 6:32 AM

?????? your serious Clark? Name one proven QB on your team other than your super midget walk on. You have some potential but so does Texas in Ewers. Matter of fact based on potential Ewers is the most Elite. So his chances of starting at Texas is theoretically less than at GA.

Brock Vandagriff couldn’t beat out Stetson and who knows how good Gunner is. Gunner is known for his mobility but how good is his arm? Who knows. But I remember GA fans saying the same thing when Trevor chose us. We see how that turned out.

You have to remember, they've signed up to play in the sec. So if you are at all critical to the UofTX, you are actually being critical of 15 other teams as well.

They even expect A&M and OK to come to their aid now.

Jun 24, 2022, 8:42 AM

after a recruit goes somewhere else. It is childish and just very unattractive.

This is different. Entirely different.

At the risk of putting down a recruit, and I have never done that, I think Arch Manning is the epitome of how it should be done. No hats, constant tweets, playing games, etc., etc. Arch did it the RIGHT WAY.

But, I know for a fact that Kirby was honest with him about his chances of ever getting meaningful playing time at Georgia. I respect that and I think the Manning family was appreciative.

I wish all the best for Arch and I am happy for him and he made the right decision for him - let us all be happy for him and hope it works out for him at Texas!

Happy FRIDAY to everyone! The Links at Stoney Point today at 1230. 75 or better as long as no greens CHEAT like Saluda Valley did!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So Georgia doesn’t play the best player if they earn it?

Jun 24, 2022, 6:26 PM

How can you say that when he hasn’t even stepped foot on campus?

If he is as good as advertised, again if, he would be better than anyone at Georgia or Bama or anywhere else.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You nailed it, he’s been advertised

Jun 24, 2022, 6:32 PM

He’s not even in Quinn Ewers league. Home boy didn’t even go to camps, played in a trash league he couldn’t even win.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Are you related to Ewers?

Jun 24, 2022, 9:57 PM

Because you sure do have a hard on for him. Get off your knees and relax. Lots of red flags with that kid. And we have the better quarterback from that class. Cade Klubnik is going to be much better.

The cream rises to the top. Great quarterbacks go to Alabama regardless of how many five star quarterbacks they already have. Same with Ohio State. Same with Clemson. Look how many really good quarterbacks we’ve had including multiple five stars that have transferred out. But they weren’t scared to come and compete! And the coaches didn’t try and run them off either. So if anybody thinks the coaches of Georgia didn’t want arch Manning you’re ####### nuts! You want the kid just for the publicity. You want the kid because of all the other four and five star players that are gonna want to play with him.

Anyone that thinks Kirby Smart tall arch Manning hey kid we really don’t need you you’re not gonna get to play here. Check yourself into a mental institution. That’s total ########. And most Georgia fans are pissed off that they didn’t get him.

Simple question that I know you won’t answer

Brock and Gunner vs Ewers.
