How dumb can somebody get? Talent means little if you dont't have character. But then what do you expect
from a jacka$$ who brags about being lazy. I wish we were deep enough at tight end to throw his a$$ off the team.

flag link

I am not going to jump to conclusions

Nov 14, 2013, 9:49 AM

Dabo can, and has, taken care of the situation. We have no clue what is going on, so speculation just makes it worse, especially speculation from a SCar fan trying to stir the pot.

I doubt if he has the brains to light one up.

Good thing we are bringing in two good TE

With this next class

Isn't he the one who admitted he wasn't trying hard? Sounds

Nov 13, 2013, 6:02 PM

like another Bellamy head case in the making. I surely hope not, though.

Hope more like Dwayne Allen ... slow start, great finish!***

No comparison.

flag link

Based on what? Allen was a PIA as a freshman ...

Nov 14, 2013, 8:07 AM

He was perpetually in the dog house.

Oops ... never mind ... I just read all the rest of your posts. Thou doeth protest too much.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link

I agree - Sounds like another Bellamy type case.

Nov 13, 2013, 7:50 PM

I hope not, but Leggett hasn't taken college seriously in practice or in the classroom.

Coaches' must have known something might be up since they went got two TE's in the next class.

Re: I agree - Sounds like another Bellamy type case.

Nov 13, 2013, 11:15 PM

He's a loser, and a bad influence within the team.

flag link

Re: Isn't he the one who admitted he wasn't trying hard? Sounds

Nov 13, 2013, 11:14 PM

I think he is.

flag link

So does this mean we start Seckinger and Cooper?

Nov 13, 2013, 6:06 PM

Has Cooper played much this year at all? I remember seeing his number once or twice but don't remember him making any noteworthy plays.

flag link

Re: So does this mean we start Seckinger and Cooper?

Nov 13, 2013, 6:11 PM

He had a sweet 11 yd. TD catch against NC State but other than that, run blocking seems to be it.

flag link

Re: So does this mean we start Seckinger and Cooper?

Nov 13, 2013, 11:21 PM

Seckinger weighs about 205 to 210. He is no more a tight end than Dabo is a middle guard. That's a joke.

flag link

Re: So does this mean we start Seckinger and Cooper?

Nov 13, 2013, 6:12 PM

neither has done much this year. Hopefully They can at least block though if they arent going to get open. We really need more from the position

That's going to a major problem; removes a big threat from our offense.

flag link

Nov 13, 2013, 11:17 PM

J.J. McCullough has the size and all the tools. He's overdue to step up.

flag link

You keep saying "our & we". He's doesn't play for Usuck .***

Suckinger couldn't block my 85 year old mother. Seriously, he is a TERRIBLE blocker. Cooper is a better blocker, but has the dropsies, one of which led to an INT in last year's bowl game. I'd take my chances with Darrell Smith. At least he'll knock some people on their a**es.

When are the players gonna get it through their thick skulls that Dabo don't play around when it comes to discipline?

flag link

He is Dabo-meat !

[2]
Nov 13, 2013, 6:35 PM

Our coach is quite the disciplinarian ...and I respect his decisions. Guy believes in high standards.
Its a rarity in this business called CFB. Just check out the drunken egomaniac coddler in Columbia...talk about a lack of institutional control.

smith will be a guard or tackle. imo he will never play te.

Re: He is Dabo-meat !

Nov 13, 2013, 11:29 PM

Good coaches do that, even if it costs them a game. I doubt that this guy will ever work out.

Will this guy end up like Mike Bellamy???

Nov 13, 2013, 11:35 PM

They haven't figured out that they really want to play football, especially at this level. This guy has a bad case of the "cutes."

Re: grow up!***

Nov 13, 2013, 10:48 PM

Amen....from being lazy to being suspended

flag link

Major disappointment. The tight end position was wide open

Nov 13, 2013, 8:00 PM

this year. Cooper was injured and has played sparingly. An undersized re-positioned WR is the mainstay. What a golden opportunity for Leggett and/or McCullough to seize the opportunity. It just never materialized. Hopefully, Richard or Smith will have the work ethic, attitude, and physical tools to make a difference next year.

flag link

Re: Major disappointment. The tight end position was wide open

Nov 13, 2013, 11:38 PM

It won't be Leggett. I doubt if he even knows the way to
the weight room. Wuss!

Uhh guy walking behind is in his tightly whites please edit out!

flag link

Easy guys.

[1]
Nov 14, 2013, 8:29 AM

Ya'll are ready to kick this guy off the team and don't even know the circumstances of his suspension. He is being disciplined. The purpose of discipline is to grow someone into a better person. This may be the first time someone has cared enough about him to try to make him into a good man. Many coaches only care about winning. Dabo wants to instill character in his players and believes it will pay dividends down the road, as was the case with Dwayne Allen. Give the guy a chance to grow up before condemning him to being kicked off the team.

Re: Easy guys.

Nov 14, 2013, 8:54 AM

your post made me realize that I was far too harsh in my comments re this kid! Thanks for a great post.

flag link

It's easy to jump to conclusions about people.

Nov 14, 2013, 9:06 AM

I don't know if Leggett will shape up during his time at Clemson, if he'll learn his lessons after he's gone, or if he'll never develop into a man of character, but I do know none of us start out that way. We grow into it. Dabo has proven to be a great mentor to these young men, and I pray that Jordan will be receptive to discipline.

McKayla is not impressed with Leggett's commitment level....

Violation of team rules

Maybe one team rule is to put forth effort in practice. That would fit with his "lazy" quote. Maybe he's not trying hard enough in practice.
