I talked to a guy last month who got a $1,000 fine/court appearance for having pot in his posession at a NP Campground.
Meanwhile, people are lighting up on this island in front of cops, on the beach, at concerts, etc. You can get a medical mary jane card on the island, but that doesn't even matter when the fine for posession is less than a slap on the wrist. The police have even issued statements that "It's not worth our time."
One small island, but two very different set of rules.

It's legal to buy it, it's legal to own it, and if you're the proprietor of a hash bar, it's legal to sell it. It's illegal to carry it, but that doesn't really matter 'cause – get a load of this, all right – if you get stopped by the cops in DC, it's illegal for them to search you.
