The one thing....

Nov 6, 2022, 1:43 AM

Regardless of whether DJ held the ball too long tonight (he did), Cade is still one read and leave the pocket (he is), the Defensive line quit late (they did)....

The one take away above all else tonight is this team was not ready to play this game. period. That starts and ends with Dabo. Worst game since the 2013 FSU game. All around pathetic in all 3 phases.

100% on the coaching staff. Streeter and Goodwin had zero ****** clue on making any adjustments during the game. Grisham still hasn't developed any of the WRs (WHAT THE HECK HAS HAPPENED TO OUR WR CORPS? IT'S DEAD RIGHT NOW).

All we can do is regroup and blow out the rest of the schedule, but there are some serious decisions Dabo needs to make in the offseason, and it starts with his staff.

Grisham really needs to go after this year. I'd say

Streeter too but that's not going to happen. Our WR's have really looked bad the last two years. Can't get open, can't block... Of course with that said, not sure how well the scheme is to get them open

I can understand last year to an extent because we were literally down 7 scholarship WRs for the year at one point where Dabo literally had to start one of his kids for the last 2 regular season games of the year, but this year makes zero sense. The passing game to non-TE and RBs is dead in this offense and was once again exposed tonight.

Extremely frustrating because there were plays to be made tonight against the ND defensive scheme.

There just seems to be 0 creativity in the passing

game. I just remember Streeter talking about using more tempo, motion and eye candy in the off-season and there is just none of that

He continues to amaze me with how many long developing plays he calls when it's clear the OL is struggling. I just don't get it. WRU has been DEAD all freakin year (and unlike last year, we dont have the injury bug as an excuse). There were plays to be made down the field tonight, and we didn't throw the ball down the field to WRs until we were already down big. #### poor coaching tonight.

We don’t really know much about Cade yet…the times he’s been put in the game, our backs were already against the wall

everytime he's been in the game, he's proven that he still is one read and if it isn't open, he's out of the pocket regardless of the protection. It's not his fault because he's still young (and I put that more on the coaches than him), but the reality is the reality. He's not able to read a defense and go through his progressions and until he is, he isn't the best option for the team (he will be, but he isn't there yet).

Lol you just described DJ only he's a junior. Cade needed reps the coaches are too busy worrying about DJs "confidence". One thing about Klubnik is he's a winner and he loves the game, I don't see that in DJ. He does not appear to love the game. Hard to blame Streeter when Dabo has the final say in who the QB is and half your playbook goes out the window bc the guy can't run the ball on the rpos and he can't be trusted to throw it more than 5 yards downfield.

Wes Goodwin on the other hand walked into a loaded defense, what's he gonna do without that talent? Goodwin isn't going to recruit that level of talent, he'll he may have cost several players millions in draft position after this season.

"stats play" all night... Never set the edge and was always cheating inside for the sack or TFL.. Several BIG plays around his side.

I thought they'd fix it at halftime. Nope. He lost 'money' trying to make more.

I'm 99% certain that's scheme. It's been happening all year and the LBs always tap themselves after getting gashed as if to acknowledge they were the contain man. It was particularly bad vs FSU before last night.

If so, that's absolutely stupid. It happens all the time.***
