Core it out and put butter and what else in it? Wrap in foil y cook for an hour?

Butter and fave bbq rub until almost soft then put a block of cheese in the hole to finish. Bacon or ham bits are a good add on too.

Use red oak or hickory chips on the coals or a pouch on the burner to boost flavor

I used to do something similar. We have become more fond of slicing a red onion thick. Then, marinade the slices in some olive oil and Montreal steak seasoning for a bit.

2. stuff with your favorite food stuffs (butter, beef bullion, cheese bacon, spices, even red wine)
3. Wrap in aluminum foil
4. Cook at 375-400 for 45 to 60 minutes
