Trying to pinpoint blame…

…can be a very difficult endeavor. It’s very hard to establish cause-and-effect relationships in complex situations like organizational performance. Throw in random factors which can actually dominate the effects, and you’re confounded.

So teasing out what the THE cause(s) of our offensive woes can be a real challenge for all of us… but it’s Dabo’s JOB. It’s his responsibility.

So far, Dabo has given some hints as to his analysis of the situation:

1. We have great kids with a good work ethic and the right “stuff”.

2. He believes with all his heart in the staff he has now.

3. We have poor performance on game day.

So… I ask you all… where does that leave us? In other words, has he given any hints as to what he might change in order to get a better result? I have heard “we’ll grow from this” and “we need to keep grinding”. I haven’t really heard anything very insightful, just assuaging.

You're right. With so many confounding variables, how can you pinpoint it exactly? Love the stats vocab usage btw!

You can take 2 with a grain of salt.

Probably you can take a lot of what he says that way.

No way in hell is Dabo going to air dirty laundry in the media. As David Hood said, Dabo certainly has earned his right to have a horrible season and fix it.

That's why this offseason will be so interesting.

Perhaps change game prep or call all the plays or git rid of Streeter or TE or both. Just have defense play on BOTH sides?
