Yeah Jack is waiving the white flag. If you can't beat the worse team in the tournament when they are pitching their #2 starter with our #3 guy then we really don't deserve to be playing right now anyways. Pitching Gossett today is saying I am not trying to win this regional.

come on. I would prolly save Gossett, but no way can you blame Jack for going with him. Can you imagine the uproar from the tiger faithful if he saved Gossett and somehow X won the game, eliminating the tigers without ever going with your ace? Legget would be run out of town on a rail.

You are an idiot if you think we shouldn't start gossett today. You have to win this game to continue playing. You pitch your best guy period. If we win thi one then you figure it out but there is no tomorrow if you don't win this one.

We just aren't good enough anymore to try the save our ace trick. Hindsight is 20/20 but it seems obvious we have 1 player. Disappointing season.

Not that I think Jack HOF was wrong in not doing it; but since we didnt then you have to throw him today, and hope that we get some support from anyone else on the staff. That and have some help from the plate...otherwise it wouldnt matter if Roger Clemens were out their pitching.

Jeez--some of you people are grasping at straws. Do you not comprehend that if we don't win today, there IS no tomorrow? EVERY MANAGER ON THE PLANET WOULD MAKE THIS DECISION. You try to win today to stay alive, and then you go into survival mode with whatever you have left.

Get over yourselves. Leggett might make some bad decisions, but this ain't one of them.
