Our vaccine rate in NC is about 500 bps higher than you guys have mustered with foghorn leghorn McMaster running the show. So, the risk is having fans from GA and SC coming into our state.

How on earth, does Trump win NC, but Cooper wins governor. Has to be the strangest result out of all of them last election. I want to meet the voter that voted for Trump and Cooper.

Cooper beat McCrory because everyone here was so mad at how literally every elected official from both parties so completely bungled the HB2 and CLT bathroom law fiasco. It turned into a peeesing match between the dems and repubs to know one’s benefit costing the citizens of NC billions. As a result incumbents from both parties paid on Election Day

Trump won because he carried the rural counties by a wide margin and because, for some reason, the largely minority counties along the NC/SC border had significantly lower voter turnout than they saw in 2016.

You’re right I was talking about how Cooper won in the first place. Contrary to what people see/read with certain cable “news” networks Cooper is a fairly moderate dem and hasn’t really had any huge missteps that would turn a lot of people against him. As the incumbent, and running against a very poor candidate like Forest, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The only people who really rail against him are the “the pandemic is a hoax reopen everting immediately” crowd like the poster a few messages above.
