Loved this kid the minute he stepped foot on campus for a visit. H3ll of an athlete and an even better person. Living proof that any man that has lived an unopportunistic life can change the outcome with hard work, character, and dedication. The poster child role model for current athletes at the high school and collegiate level.

Good story; glad to see Dwayne doing well, esp after the 4.9

forty at the combine and some folks were writing him off.
Just shows it's not all about the measurables. He seems
to play with a lot of heart and passion and apparently works
hard and learns. Good example for someone who could have
gone the wrong way in life.

high school coach can have. This type of story plays out more than most people ever know. If a coach can keep a kid in school, off the streets, out of gangs or from hanging with the wrong crowd it can indeed change/save a life. Usually these kids don't go D-1 and then the pros but they go on to have full lives. I wonder how many kids were impacted by watching Dwayne and the decisions he made.

Thanks coach and thanks to all coaches who help our kids!!
