Pitt is a blue collar team with big strong guts and is a school in the conference that will continue to improve. Pitt will continue to contend for the Coastal Division title and should help the status of the ACC.

Just curious ... if you were the Southern Cal portal stud and had the choice of going to either Clemson or Pitt, which would you choose? Let's try a few rhetorical questions:

Pitt ... just lost a borderline Heisman candidate
-or-
Clemson ... who is bringing in super-stud HS QB Cade Klubnik and has serviceable 2021 QB DJU?


If you're Cade Klubnik, and have been (likely) promised by Clemson coaches that he will be the only scholarship QB brought in the 2022 class ... and then after the December signing day the Clemson coaches undercut their promise and signs a portal QB ... what do you think happens to Clemson's reputation as having an open and honest culture?

If the portal stud QB is offered and this gets known to C.Klubnik, would you be surprised if C.Klubnik hits the portal before his college career starts?

You know the answers, and that's why Clemson chose to "snooze through this" portal 'opportunity.'

It's OK to love the possibilities of the portal, but it really helps to think of where and why and when the portal makes sense for Clemson.

and my underlying point is are we doing that. Need OL and DL. Havent snagged any. Need another corner. I see Clemson talking about using it as a diversion from not doing squat. I feel it is some kind of misplayed loyalty to present players. Like the 12 or 15 who have recently "quit" oh I mean hit the portal.
