Friday night elected to just chill at home, eat come CFA and watch a horror movie.
Saturday, waited around all day on am Amazon delivery that never showed, built a couple bird houses, a did a lil runnin' around.
Sunday, bottled the latest beer, went to Willy Taco for a late lunch. Finally get the Amazon package, more relaxing.

Amazing weather all weekend. Hopefully I can pick up the boat this week.
Friday - pizza dinner, kids played, kids to bed, ZeroZeroZero watching on Prime
Saturday - son's baseball game, lunch at home, playground for almost the rest of the afternoon. Kids went over and jumped on trampolines with other kids while us adults drank beer. Mexican for dinner, wife let me out of house and I walked to town and bar hopped till 11pm cutoff.
Sunday - daughters TBall game, son and I went downtown had lunch and went to the Tigers game. Got home had leftovers, took some shots of tequila, drank 2 Two Hearted and watched ZeroZeroZero with the wife.
Finally a Monday where I am not hungover and dragging myself around the house. Glad I got in bed last night.
9.7/10
I found myself feeling like this a couple of times this weekend

Fri - Took my stepdad fishing on Hartwell. Slow start but ended up with about 10 bass by afternoon. Pizza for dinner + movie night.
Sat - Up at metiger® time (0420) to fish a Hartwell tournament. Lost a giant on the buzzbait early and it was all downhill from there. Went to dad's for low country boil and caught a few fish from the dock.
Sun - My mama wanted to take MsJr to Babyland down yonder in GA. So we hoarded all the fuel and MsJr picked out a redheaded cabbage patch doll. Stopped for lunch in Cleveland at Creekside Deli, 10/10. Took kids over to the church playground, back home for a quick dinner and played outside some more. Puts kids to bed and got that o face.

Friday - Did some wings from TD's
Sattidy - Drove to the in-lawds down on the Edisto. Pick up disappointed kid-of at Irmo after Daniel lost the state finals in both men's and women's soccer. Feasted on a Frogmore Stew and some dang good boiled peanuts. Watched the Preakness.
Sunday - Drove home and we moved 18 out of 20 yards of mulch. Paying for it today.
6.34/10 - pluses for good food weather, minuses for disappointing sports results.

Another weekend, another wedding.

Friday, took the day off and knocked all the vehicle maintenance out in both my car and my truck. Spent about $900 on tire, batteries, oils. It bugs me to spend that much money on anything I can't plug into an amplifier but I guess it had to be done. Came home and cooked burgers, drank beers, caught up on episodes of Mayans, the uplifting tale of some delightful motorcycle enthusiasts from California.
Saturday, coffee, shower, pack duffel, drop pup off to board the drive to Mayberry, NC for niece's wedding. Was good to see a lot of friends and family that I haven't in almost two years. Had a blast and things got very drinky. The groom is a brewer and he had his lager, IPA, and sour on tap. Back to the hotel around midnight and crashed hard.
Sunday, woke up just before 10am and grabbed quick coffees and showers and hit the road back home. I-77 might not be as bad as I-85, but neither is a fun trip. Home by 1:30, quick lunch, watched FCS championship until the lightning delay then made grocery run. Came home and relaxed in The Big Chair with the kitty and the pup, watched Walking/Talking Dead, crashed.
A good weekend overall, got to see a couple of folks I dearly love that it's been way too long since seeing, drank more than I have in a while. 18.99/19 Covids, deductions for interstate travel.

Friday: Hit happy hour, ate Mellow Mushroom Mighty Meat, got too tired and went to bed early.
Saturday: Little bit of yard work and a trip to Ace so my wife could buy over $100 in flowers. Really. Then pool and then drinking with the neighborhood boys. Drank just a bit too much.
Sunday: Pool again. Then I smoked a tri-tip. As it cooked, I took a nap on the hammock in the back yard and listened to the windchimes and the birds. Tri-tip came off tasty; just chilled at the house the rest of the night.

Friday...wife brought home Thai Basil from Greenville. Was pretty good. Watched some TV and crashed early. Was a very long week. Didn't post on here yet, but we admitted our son to a facility/school in Atlanta on Wednesday. He has really been struggling with school avoidance (not going to school) and then getting in mild-to-medium behavior trouble when he does go. Had had ISS 8 times this year and OSS once. There's a lot more...but too much to share here. He was in this same facility in January for 4 weeks and when he got out, he returned right back to previous behaviors. He seems to have a better attitude this time around and is not blaming everyone else for his actions, so would appreciate Ts and Ps offered. He's a bit of a long story, but he's on the autism spectrum...very high functioning and also diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. Those "diagnosis" all swirl around making it really difficult to pin-point, not to mention discipline, if it's autism/something he can't help or willful behavior.
Saturday...daughter had friends spending the weekend with us. Got up and cook big breakfast spread. Eff'd around more with the pond. Put in a new filter box, installed UV light filter, and put in some pond plants in planters with gravel base. Trying to get rid of the eff'ing green water algae. Did some fence repair. Ate dinner at Fuji, which was pretty good. Watched some movies with daughter-of and her friend.
Sunday...lazy morning. Wife-of and I went to Greek festival in Greenville. Got some greek chicken and gyros. Was 1/2 of their normal offerings due to covid, but was good. Went to see first movie in a theatre since covid hit, which was fun. Saw The Profile...was decent. Made some soup for dinner and hit the sack early.

Friday: Late work night
Saturday: All day at lower state footy races. Of course my crew had to do well and so now I have another Saturday thrown away this coming weekend. Got home. Tried to install new dishwasher. Was so tired I couldn't. Also, apparently they don't supply all parts needed to install. Rode over to SIL's where they were cooking and had a huge water slide for the kids.
Sunday: Up early to Lowes to get the part that whirlpool doesn't send. Back home. Put hooked everything up. Immediately left and went to SIL's for the kids to play on the slide again. Got home, cooked a frogmore stew. Drank a little and promptly passed the #### out.
I'm still in a sleep deprivation haze

assist in holding a camera. See, all this tinkering around with the birdhouses is because I cooked up an idea to attempt to make and sell birdhouse kits so suburban parents can build something with their kids. Yes, I know it would have been way better to have already launched this, but stuff got in the way.
Well, I also got the idea that along with some written out instructions, it would be handy to have an assembly video. This idea led to the idea that I attempt to start a YouTube Channel where I share my adventures in building stuff, brewing beer, making BBQ, and possibly other adventures.

I'll need 1000 subscribers as quickly as I can get them.
The aggravation with Amazon lies in the fact I could probably already had the first video, maybe two posted. I know they aren't going to be great but sometimes you have to start something before you are ready.

Saturday woke up, went to soccer game, middle son won, came back, wife took oldest to inlaws lake house for the yearly cleaning and rat eviction. Babysitter got here then I left. Cleaned my car for the first time this year, then went to inlaws lake house. Took all kinds of random yard stuff, tools, etc. because you never know. Got there and did some yard work, but the hard part was already done (timing is everything). Ate burgers and hot dogs with ice cold American light beer. Went by and saw mom, and fixed her water, etc.
Sunday woke up at 8am!!! Wife cleaned out garage, meaning she shifted a bunch of junk into a "donate" stack that will stay there for a year or two before I get fed up and take it to the donation place. Trimmed hedges, cleaned the AC coils for summer. Found spigot outside is loose, like popped out of the brick. Need to fix that. Fixed dryer where a cheep plastic piece of crap broke off making the door not shut so it didn't work. Corrected a work report to send out so they'd have it first thing this AM. Middle son did the weed eating. Solid c performance, but he broke a sweat, so won't complain too much.
No supper Saturday night because in laws stuffed us. Sunday night was Subway, 6-incher.
Bourbon of the weekend was Breckenridge. Beer was Bud Light.
Overall 8.8/10

Friday - took off from work, had the stomach virus going around, I was hurling left and right, went to Cootlumbia for the state championships. Watched a bit and retired to a hotel room. I didn't have any food until I decided my dietary choices needed a boost in the Del Taco direction. I consumed two tacos and magically felt better.
Saturday - up early and headed to Summerville to my association's All Star game that I coached in. I was able to find gas (praise be Allah) and food early on. Drained a energy drink and coached my ear off. Headed back home, meanwhile my daughter broke another school record in track and qualified for three events next week at the state finals.
Sunday - was my twins birthday, had a lot of fun spending time with them and such. Relaxed a bit and did my taxes.
9.9/10 deduction only for the $3/gallon gas

Wife and I went up to Lake Cumberland for the weekend. Towed the boat up to its new home and wanted to just get out of town in general. Reached a good milestone where kids can stay home solo now, so that was nice to take advantage of as well.
Saturday drove to the Hardware store in BFE, KY for some stuff for projects and then hit the Kroger Liquor store up there. OMG, bargain city. Picked up a few bottles of Four Roses single barrel for $29 and made buds with Jeff the store manager who said he'd hold back a couple bottles of Weller for me next time they got it in.
Spent rest of afternoon cursing my contortion ability while I turned a 30 minute impeller and housing change into a 2 hour act of pain and anger. Also wondered how my trailer made the 2 hour drive as I noticed all of the nuts loosened on one wheel, with one stud being sheared entirely off. So THAT was the vibration I felt.....
Sunday, got up, had coffee and watched sun rise, made some omelets for the Mrs. and me, and then came back home for an awesome and completely stress-free evening of pouring over taxes one more time to make sure they were good to go today. *SoFun
9.9/10 with .1 deducted for taxes infringing upon my weekend.

wheel wells on my trailer. Trying to figure out the best way to make that happen. I will probably have to tie up at my buds house and take it to the shop.
I think, just because of your story and many others, I am going to have the trailer guys just give it a complete once over as well as welding back the fenders and smoothing them back out so they dont scratch the boat. Its already happened once.

The boat looks just like it did when it rolled off the showroom floor 24 years ago. The trailer looks like it was used in a demolition derby. It's always something with this POS, with the surge brakes being the main problem.
I'm going to convert them to discs soon because I changed out EVERYTHING on the drums a year ago and one wheel still wants to lock every 4th pull or so.

You should try those brakes in salt water
May 17, 2021, 10:23 AM

EVERYTHING has to be stainless steel--calipers, rotors, brackets..even the brake pad backing material.
Anything else is a waste of time and money, as you'll be replacing it all in 6-8 months.

You guys remember that legendary weekend, some 7-8 years
May 17, 2021, 9:28 AM
|
|
ago, where world records were shattered? I'm talking about that weekend where I made secks on the wife TWICE in one weekend? Well...THAT HAPPENED AGAIN. The legendary exploits of 19B continue to grow.
Our male pupper, Shep, was puking blood on Thursday, and later that day when I took them for a walk, he sprayed shitblood on the sidewalk, too. I've had a number of dogs and don't ever remember any of them puking or shitting blood, so that was disconcerting. Called the vet and took him in first thing on Friday. Vet said that more times than not, it's a bug of some sort running through their system, so she gave him some fluids and an anti-nausea shot, and some pills to give him for the next 5 days. If there was still blood coming out of either end on Saturday, bring him back for xrays. Fortunately...he seemed mostly fine after that, and gradually ran through the lethargy to get back to his normal self.
The goodest boy:
Anyway, drove the golf cart up to the clubhouse on Friday for the concert series that they resumed after taking a Covid break last year. Actually had a good band out there this time, and the weather was stunningly perfect, like 73 degrees. Tons of old people, as usual, but over a hundred golf carts from the neighborhood and plenty of kids and hot moms walking around, too. Stopped by fran's house after for a porch drank.
Saturday: grabbed some more lumber in exchange for my firstborn at Lowe's to resume work on the fence. Dug a coupla post holes, which is by FAR the worst part of fence construction, cemented them, and then kinda left it.
Sunday: met some frans for their 11 year old's birthday party at, get this: Charleston Sports Pub? Anyway, brunch on the porch there, we had it to ourselves at 10am, but it was packed by the time we left at 12:30 or so. Food and service were aight. I put the tots from my Bloody in my cargo pocket to enjoy later.
Went home to get motivated to work on fence some more, and ended up watching TV and having some more secksytime and then napping and basically being a lump of non-fence-building shit. Was pretty glorious, actually.
38.8/10 Covids

Friday, went to Binky's beachfront with some friends of for dinner, and drank too many Island beers. Finished that up by going home and having several more Naturdays, so...
Saturday had planned on going out in the boat but slept until 1 because drunk and hungover. Finally got up and ran some errands, then got back and rode my bike down to marina, then to the Windjammer and stopped by the Dinghy, and had a few beers. Bought some steaks from the butcher on the way back, grilled them, then just goofed all night.
Sunday slept late again for no apparent reason, got up and thought about getting the boat, but decided to just go to Red's on Shem Creek for old time sake. HO.LEE.CHIT. I think reconstruction has started again, because there are more yankees here than people from here. Even the people from Ohio are tired of all the New Yorkers and New Jerserians. It looked and sounded like an episode of Jersey Shore there. Lots of flat brimmed ball caps, long white shorts and black wifebeaters, and nasally cursing.
Barely 1.5 beers into seeing the Red's chitshow. I got so depressed about it I just left. I'm going to owe about $8500 (additional) in taxes, and realized I'm actually subsidizing this metamorphosis, which makes it even worse. I gotta get out of here.
I think I may start selling these t-shirts, but I don't know to who--the damage has already been done.
