During the first 10 minutes, he talks about Clemson--loved the part about his number being retired.

For many growing up near Atlanta in the 80's the first exposure to any sports icon were the cardboard cutouts of Tree that were in every Mc Donald's. As a young man he seemed larger than life. Later our HS team was able to play in the old Omni arena before a Hawks game. Tree, Danny Roundfield and the ageless Kevin Willis came out to warm up during our halftime. You quickly realize decent HS players were nowhere near the level of the pro's. They were gracious and complimented us but it was a humbling experience.

Tree still sounds the same--gracious and upstanding. It might have been a humbling experience, but those NBA players made an impression that you still remember after all of these years. Thanks for sharing.
