Good game, y'all...

I have to give you all props - as advertised. The better team won. In my opinion, we were able to play with your guys and the biggest difference was skill positions and I do not believe it was simply because you all didn't play well. I truly believe we have some ballers and a good coach. Good luck the rest of the way.

Nope, didn’t play well. Your guys answered the call and played up to the level of competition, sort of.

We will have to agree to disagree. Now beat the sh*t out of Miami!

Virginia played well...

but it was abundantly clear that Clemson deliberately kept both the offense and the defense fairly generic and vanilla.

How many draw plays did Clemson run? 30?***

It was a bunch...

and the offense never really attacked downfield.

Defensively BV pretty much just ran a basic 3 - 4 defense opting to just rush three down linemen and never really trying to pressure the Hoo QB.

That said, it's certainly more difficult to get to the QB when the OL is permitted to hold defenders pretty much all night.

Doesn’t really matter. Players should have executed better

Ummmmm I gotta disagree with you. Those qb runs have me worried about Miami. I thought UVa played inspired football and im glad we won. But vanilla? I think we have things to clean up

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Virginia should be congratulated as they played hard giving it everything they had but the talent difference was too great. When Clemson went up 24-3 with three minutes left in the 2nd (dominated up to that point) the team seemed to lose focus until UVA drew within 10 but CU answered the bell with two straight TDs.

Beware as we see it often were the CU game is like a superbowl for teams. They put all their focus and energy into beating Clemson only to lay an egg the following week against an inferior team.

Good luck the rest of the way.

The Hoos should win their next two...

Oct 5, 2020, 9:38 AM

then they get Miami and UNCheat in back-to-back weeks.

Those two games will go a long way in making or breaking their season.

My take.....

Virginia had an excellent offensive game plan, designed for the talent they had. That QB is a load. The Oline and Dlines for UVA outplayed ours. Mendenhall is an excellent coach.

Your coach is building a solid foundation...

Oct 5, 2020, 10:04 AM

He is focusing on the O-line and D-line. As long as you have those, you'll be in every game.
