He was one of our greatest. Being young doesn't mean you can't learn the history. He was coaching at Stanford when he passed and was highly regarded in the business. He will always be a favorite.

6'5" and 275lb High School LB.... When he left Clemson he could bench 500 plus and the coaches could never get him in the weight room. If Ma is close to Chester in talent he will be a beast.. .

Good comparison, actually.***

Big Mon reminds me of Glenn Dorsey.

Jan 29, 2013, 7:11 PM

Glenn was a 2X All-American for the Paper Tigers. Adams is slightly taller, but just as explosive, violent, and disruptive. He's as sure-fire a prospect as any in this class.

He'll fit right in at Clemson with his work ethic & humility.

Montravius Adams reminds me of William Perry. I lived my entire life in Aiken, SC, Williams home town, and I was born in 1955. William graduated from Aiken High four years after I did and I watched every home game he played there and a couple of way games, too. I also saw him play in Death Valley every year.
If you watch film of MA and film of William at Clemson, you will notice the same tremendous first step that is unbelievably explosive and puts them in the backfield at nearly the same time as the ball gets in the QB's hands. Take a look at the early play in the Orange Bowl against Nebraska, when William jumps past the center and knocks the ball loose from the QB. I saw several plays in the films of Adams where he does the same thing.
Of course Big Mon is playing against high school kids and not an All American center at Nebraska!!!
