That is even better if you think about the big picture and the future. The lefties on the board may not be able to do that, but nevertheless they might learn something.
A key takeaway for me is the fact that everyone in the USA can quit driving (not even EVs), quit eating meat, etc. and it makes virtually no difference for the future of the planet (assuming CO2 is indeed a problem). The reason for that is how much CO2 China and India will produce in the future.
It's also compelling (disappointing really) to see that living car free for a year equates to about 1 transatlantic flight.
Well said excerpts:
If you read between the lines we see the implications of this. It basically means that an ultra-low carbon lifestyle has to be brought about through systemic change, government policy and massively expanded public services – or said differently, increasing dependence on The State.
The reality is there is no viable path forward that makes reduced energy usage and standard of living reductions a requirement, let alone mandatory.
Doing so means telling the middle class to own nothing and eat bugs, while the elites parade through the city in lengthy motorcades on their way to the airport to wing it to Davos in their private jets. It means telling third-world nations to remain mired in poverty. And it means forcing the Chinese to stop building all those coal-fired plants and to keep the 600 million subjects there who are still living in extreme poverty, poor.
...they also face cognitive dissonance over their own carbon footprints – not all, in fact not even very many of those involved in the fight for climate change, are actually living ultra-low carbon lifestyles themselves, and that causes them eco-guilt.
Maybe this is yet another reason the miserable lefties need to increase their moral equity by calling everyone racist - they have too much eco-guilt! LOL.
The BBC and others are making the case that the climate emergency is too important to be left up to individual choice. Also: you are going to have to ratchet down your standard of living by over 75%. This isn't optional.
The elites who want to rule the world only want enough peasants on the planet to serve them and maintain their decadent and very not environment friendly lifestyle. The ones of us who make the cut will live like the amish while they live a life of excess. Everyone else will be eliminated.

It is. It is THE problem. If your starting point is disputing whether it's actually a problem, then there's no point in engaging with you about what should and could be done about the problem.
And rational people remember that the vaccines DID

stop the spread of Covid at a 90-95% clip when introduced in early 2021. As the efficacy dropped with new variants over the next 18 months, the statement "Covid vaccines prevent most transmission" in April 2021 doesn't become less correct, as much as you want to revise actual events for your narrative.
But you already know this, you're just being disingenuous.
T3 you are correct. The vaccines did not stop the spread and they did not slow the spread. Heck, even Dr Birx has admitted that they knew the vaccines would not stop the spread. It was all a big lie.

I'd rather people TD opinions they don't agree with than people that RA and Tmail the mods to try to get folks banned for expressing their opinion. More whining and crying from T3! This is like you expressing outrage for people having 12 people on ignore when you have like 20 on ignore.

BS, and it's a message board. People can reply to anyone they want to and you are the mods worst nightmare when it comes to RA's and Tmails. Btw, TD's are a fact of life on a message board, grow a pair and deal with it instead of RA'ing and Tmailing the mods and whining and crying about it!

Yep, and I’ll continue to do as I please, thank you. Maybe this is a breakthrough for you that you can't control what other people do on a message board.

Ok, I currently have 12 and you have 21 ....you LOSE again! None of the above is a "personal attack" btw. If you are sick, then it's easy, take a break away from the board, I do it all the time with you ijiots.

You have no rebuttal to the fact that the increase in CO2 is and will be out of the control of the USA and European governments. Any action taken by any person in the USA will be counteracted 100x by a person (or 5 or 10 people) in India or China.
The whining, snowflake liberals put us in this 'dire' position anyhow with their war on nuclear energy. If we would have been exploiting nukes like we should have been in the last 50 years, we would not be killing the planet.
CO2 is .04% of the environment. Convincing people they need to eat bugs and live like people in the middle ages in order to avoid planetary catastrophe is one of the greatest feats of propaganda ever created. Hitlers theory on the "Big Lie" has never been so successfully proven.
