Reading some of the ‘what ifs’ reminds me of myself

For about a month after we lost to bama in the National Championship game.

But ten years later?!?.... he sounds like a few of my coot relatives....

I was on the hill that day... as well as at the Maryland game. Compare those to games and you know how he got the job.

I am sure it helped. It went from a *likely-maybe* w/Dabo to a certainty. However, you could already see the attitude change with the players. He already earned it, the SC win cemented it. The 2008 season could have definitely been a faithless "FSU style" 4-8 season with the players giving up. Dabo saved that season.

What it really did was to help keep Dabos job in 2010/2013. I know a lot of folks were uneasy after the 6-7 season (which even that team was win/2 from getting the swagger to get to 10 wins). However, the regression that year and the eventual streak to spurrier was the issue. It showed that Dabo *could* win against Spurrier even when it was becoming an major issue. However, beating LSU, 31-0hio State 40-35, and Oklahoma in bowls and then Auburn/Georgia kinda saved his seat too.

Dabo had everything except the record against (perhaps one of the best college coaches ever - the Dude won a title at Duke!). We knew he had the intangibles that Bowden didn't *quite* have (interpersonal leadership in adversity).

I think when we saw what kind of recruiting class we had coming in 2011 as well as what Tajh Boyd did in the bowl game against USF and almost wont that game even though we were down 31-14 or something. Nobody was ready to let him go, if they were, they couldn't see the forest through the trees. Winning the ACC champ game in 2011 as well cemented him here. Yea we lost 5 in a row to the #####, but we also won 10 games or more 3 times during that streak and showed resilience. Now here we are..
