Golf near Anderson

Aug 5, 2021, 7:25 AM

Been playing Arrowhead a lot lately because of it has been the best course for the money. Tried Pine Lakes yesterday, never again. Any other suggestions of other courses within a half hour drive that is less than $40 I should try? Retired on fixed income lol. Thanks

Not a goofer, but have heard friends talk about Saluda Valley being a good go

Chickasaw Point. Since the property owners took over it's been upgraded. $30 including a cart on weekdays for seniors.

Saluda Valley is a good course for the money and usually not very crowded during the week.

Boscobel usually has very nice greens but have a few funky holes.

Cobbs Glen in Anderson is also decent.

Brookstone Meadows has recently gone thru some upgrades and I haven't played it since then.

I always liked playing Southern Oaks as well.

All of the above courses have senior rates that are reasonable.

Thanks. I will look into the courses noted and mention them to my weekly foursome. Would love to play the Walker Course but I would have to eat the wife's cooking for a week and that is not worth the money and my stomach.

bit of a goat track, even then. Great memories though.

You'd sometimes run into Jim Rice there.

I think you can play the Walker Course for $40 at twilight rates...
