I agree here. We have had guys in scoring position but strike out. Don’t even put the ball into play. Got to give yourself a chance.

Baseball Stats on ClemsonTigers.com showed thru 51 games there was 505 strikeouts going into this 3rd game of the Virginia series and so far tonight there have been 6 thru 5 at bats for the Tigers.I'd venture to guess without looking at the records for strikeouts in a season in the 2022 Clemson Baseball Media Guide that this season would rank right up close to the top as one of the worst when it comes K'ing,probably in the Top 10 in the nation in striking out.

Finished up with 11 times striking out tonight which ups the total to 516 for the season now in 1828 at bats for the team

All the K’s are frustrating, but to me the stat that sticks out the most is LOB, averaging nearly 9 per game.

Ever since Monte arrived, there has been a tendency to TAKE good pitches and SWING AT bad pitches. Couple that with every dude in the lineup trying to go yard with every swing and you have the perfect recipe for strikeouts.
