God bless our soldiers on this Memorial Day...

A reporter on TV this morning said "Happy Memorial Day". My wife and I looked at each other and we agreed that it didn't sound right. I then saw clover65® post. That considered, I don't know a proper greeting on Memorial Day, so I'm going with "God bless our soldiers".

Thanks to all who served and are serving and prayers for the family, friends, and comrades of our fallen soldiers.

"Reverential" would be a good word to attach as a greeting

on Memorial Day. It SHOULD be a solemn occasion, as it remembers the human sacrifices made on the Altar of Freedom.

yes. It is nice though that in recent years some thanks and recognition go to the military because the underlying reason for the day is inheriently sad
