Tech question - I’m so confused

Got a new cell phone a couple nights ago. Switched from Verizon to T-mobile. Now when someone calls me, my new phone, my old phone, AND my work cell all ring. Here’s the super confusing part - my work cell is totally unrelated to me. It is on the Verizon network, but I don’t pay for it (you all do, lol). The only connection is that I do use my Apple ID to run it.

What matrix have I fallen into?

You have enabled the "ring all" feature

but it is a hidden feature and almost impossible to undo.

go to Phone>Calls on Other Devices and see if anything is checked.

I do this to allow me to answer my phone on my Macs.

Go to settings>cellular, turn off "Calls on Other Devices"

Also go to Settings>Facetime and change the "YOU CAN BE REACHED BY FACETIME AT" to just your phone number.

Do the same with Settings>Messages.

Or just use a different Apple ID on your work phone from your personal. I have one tied to my work email that's on our "Family Sharing" for Apple Music, iCloud, etc.
