Curious, besides watching our Tigers win the National Championship, why anyone would want to go there?
Not knocking it since i've never visited, just wondering since this is all i've seen of it

Go in June... that's fun

I've been several times for training. Other than work or retirement, I can't think of a good reason to go to the city. There are some interesting things to do north of there in the winter (skiing).
In June, It was stupid hot. and when they say it's a dry heat, that just means it sucks the water out of you and kills you that much faster.

Rent a car and do some scenic driving....it's amazing

It's not flat boring desert. Big mountains and unusual vegetation.
Drive to Flagstaff and back. Go through Prescott and Sedona.
You're welcome.

Also, rent a horse with no name and go for a ride.

It feels good to get out of the rain. Cause in the desert, you can remember your name.

Dry Heat

When I've heard the term "Yeah but it's a dry heat". I laugh because us Southerners have no clue sometimes. Those who have said that to me I reply..."Turn your oven on and set at 110 degrees, now...get in and see how that dry heat feels as opposed to our wet heat"

just outside of the northern section of town? I had heard about a place that was good, just never took the time to go. I think I saw it when going on a weekend day trip, and was surprised by its 'appearance'. Maybe a different place.

If you want something weird, try Chino Bandido

its a Mexican-Chinese fusion place. kinda weird, but the locals love it. It was featured on DDD on food network, which are places I like to try when I get a chance.

is well worth the time. You can hit Sedona on the way back south. Another geographical wonderland that you won't regret taking the time to visit.
