worthless? Not necessarily. What do you base your opinions on? Do you have sound logic? Do you have evidence. I am curious of the arguments against what you may say, but I do not require some certification to start the process of evaluating the validity of your opinions.

BTW, their peers reviewed it. Their peers commented on it. There is a great argument over it. Have you read what the peers who argue with it said? How comfortable are you with your own independent perspective of the specifics they are debating over?

Do you not deserve a chance to form your own opinions based on evidence? Or would you prefer a structure in which certain people are designated (through a method you are not privy to) as the ones who make your opinions for you?

The evidence presented is a peer review of sorts. The arguments against them from peers are a peer review of sorts. What element of the technical determination of peer review causes you to dismiss anything which doesn't include it? Once you develop that answer, do you apply it un-hypocritically? Do you think the Pfizer trials were peer-reviewed? Does that matter? Have you studied the peer-review process to confirm you are comfortable with it being so important to you?

People need to snap out of this insane cognitive dissonance and think.

Just so you lemmings know the facts, earlier this month, the NIH (National Institute for Health) changed the 'status' of the drug Ivermectin from "NOT ADVISED" for the treatment of Covid to "Neither recommended nor NOT Advised".....in other words, prescribe or not to prescribe is left to the attending physician. This change was due to the multiple 'positive' health study results being published in several countries throughout the globe. This drug was approved for HUMAN use by the CDC several DECADES AGO!

Hope for a speedy recovery. It is great that you could get to see someone that fast. I was on the opposite track.

A coupe of weeks ago, my daughter was exposed, became sick with symptoms, and we could not get a test until 9 days after she became ill - and that was only for a previous scheduled appointment for another item. Of course, she was better and test negative. Uggg - that much for demand hit early in the month that testing was basically impossible. Go wait at an urgent care site for hours or no hope.

The Mrs and I both got mildly sick but even by the time we got around to being tested, did not test positive.

So was it Covid or was it spurious.

Went through my whole house two weeks ago. First the baby. Lasted a day and a half. Then wife. Lasted a day. Then me and the oldest. Lasted about three days. You’ll probably be over it in 2-3 days and close to 100% in 3-5 days. Wife and I were fully vaxxed kids too young. We all had positive tests. Not to be insensitive to many who suffered but it’s really not a big deal and my guess is it will eventually be looked at like nothing more than flu or even normal cold. It’s just not what the media has made it out to be. It’s just not. Hope you feel better soon. CDC says isolate for only 5 days from first symptoms the. Go about your life like normal.

The only thing that I can tell you is that I had delta and it almost killed me. Yes I had the shot. I was on oxygen for 6 weeks to the day after I got out the hospital. I was on high flow, high heat oxygen while in the hospital for 24 hours (which sucked,) and the rest of the time just regular oxygen with a nasal cannula. My lungs are now damaged but the doctors hope that they will heal within the year. I got sick in October and was able to go back to work some this week. It really put a hurtin on me.
I hope you get well soon. Steroids are what helped me get better. They would not give me ivermectin in the hospital. They had something else the infectious disease doctor swore by which is what I was given also. Within a week after I got out the hospital, they discontinued use of the stuff I was given because the studies showed it did not work like they thought it did.

I can't say that I agree with your statement bc, a friend of mine was 60, and fairly healthy, and he refused the vaccine, his wife got the vaccine. Three months they both tested positive for covid 19, he died on the ventilator a week later. She is now totally heart broken, and alone bc of his stubbornness!!! A nurse at the hospital where he died, she told his wife's sister that they see the same thing all the time, with a husband or wife refusing the vaccine, and the one that refused the vaccine, ended up dying bc of their stubbornness over being vaccinated... Stubborn or not, it don't just affect you if the worst happens, and it could have been easily prevented with low or no risk to the ones that are being so stubborn and refusing the vaccine. So any who are refusing the vaccine, ask yourself, is putting your family through the pain and suffering of losing you, is it worth showing how stubborn you are, or can be!!!!

Today is 2 weeks since my wife tested positive and my symptoms started. Doc prescribed me a zpac. I had fever, chills and a head ache for 36 hours, fever broke and felt great the 3rd day, then the 4th day was the worst with congestion and slight cough and feeling like not getting a full breath. Started getting better a little each day after that. 2 weeks later I still have some head congestion where ears won’t unclog and nasal congestion. Still have little bit of cough every now and then. Also have days when I still feel like I’m not getting a full breath. But I’ve always been able to breathe deep so it may congestion or even possibly the effects it has on the heart. Who knows. I’m always winded now though after exertion (more than normal) but I hear from others that eventually goes away. I’m wondering if we actually had delta since my wife lost taste and smell which isn’t common with omnicron. 37 with two jabs. Just sharing since other stories seem to help people cope.

Omnicron is a more highly transmissible variant but less severe in symptoms. If you are vaccinated, then you will almost certainly have few problems other than feeling like you have a bad cold for a few days. The ivermectin will only be a placebo at best for you. If your doctor gave you a "safe" dose simply to appease your demands, then that is probably within his medical discretion. If he is regularly prescribing ivermectin to his covid patients because of his medical beliefs, then he is a quack, but, hey, at least you won't have worms.

Maybe if Biden would release the more aggressive treatments to Red States instead of controlling them for his Blue pals, Bret would have been given something else. Just a few months back, anyone at anytime that needed it could get an infusion of monoclonal antibodies in SC, FL and other Southern states until Biden started the "control". Three weeks ago my 1st cousin, a cancer patient on chemo, got COVID and found out in the Upstate there were about 20 doses for every 300 people waiting for the treatment. The Doctors finally moved her to the top of the list but the 4 day delay almost killed her and she is still fighting it.

I'm feeling much better this morning. Still a little weak, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. If I continue to improve at this rate, I should be fine by Saturday. (Sunday will be my 5th day of quarantine. Doctor said quarantine 5 days and until no symptoms are present, whichever comes last.

As for the use of ivermectin, I appreciate the comments. But, I will trust my doctor (I've been a patient of his for almost 40 years. Over the past three years I've had several conversations with him about COVID. He has been sport on thus far. He is using medical research he finds reliable, not CNN or FOX or CDC.

I will make a political comment here, which will e my first and hopefully last. I'm sick and tired of everybody making this a political issue rather than a medical issue - both sides. I had a woman in my church about 6 months ago tell me she wasn't worried about it and that wearing masks was stupid. I politely told her (she is a nurse) my doctor said it was an airborne disease and while masks wouldn't prevent the spread, it would lessen the probability that you wouldn't get it or give it to someone. She said, "Doctors don't know anything about it." I asked her where she got her information from and she said, honest, "My hairdresser has studied this and she knows."

MY concern from day one has been that I don't want to give it to anyone else, most of all my wife who has a much weaker immune system than I do. As soon as I tested positive, I packed a bag and moved into a motel.

I'm amazed how little concern people have for others. We have had 2 outbreaks at our church the past month. Both times were because someone (not wearing a mask, not vaccinated) came to church with a sore throat and coughing. "Well, I thought it was just a sore throat. I didn't think it was COVID."

I have told several people in the past 2 years, "I understand you not being concerned about getting COVID. But, I don't understand you not being concerned about giving it to someone else."

Delta. It was a pretty rough cold, making me feel very tired and a little more congested than normal. Wish I would have had ivermectin to make it shorter (lasted about 7 days) but I now have some on hand for the next cold or flu. Interested to see how it works.
