and a requirement for the head coach retaining his job.
In thirteen seasons, the expectation should be to make the NCAAT 7 or 8 times (MINIMUM)!!!!

I agree, and the constant path BB has taken the basketball program has been really tiresome, and it has me with that Oh Well attitude part of the time trying to have hope that things will change. I've been thinking that if next season doesn't show some promise I'll take myself away from anything concerning Clemson basketball bc when the AD doesn't show any real concern why should we, the Tiger basketball fan.

Dabo has only made the tournament ie college football playoffs 6 times during that same time period. I don't see you lunatic fringe elements constantly berating him. Let's at least be consistent and hold all the coaches to the same standard before being so critical!!!

Dabo made the CFP six of the nine times the CFP has been played.
In his seven seasons prior to the CFP, Dabo led Clemson to two BCS Bowl appearances.
The same standard indeed (rolling eyes) !!!

Of course, there are only 4 teams that make the CFP, out of 125 (3.2%). 68 teams make the NCAAT, out of 351 (19.3%). Making the CFP is about 6 times harder than making the NCAAT.
Dabo's teams have won the ACC championship 7 of the last 8 seasons, including 6 in-a-row. Brownell's teams rarely win a game in the ACCT, and never have played for the ACCT championship, let alone win it.
Dabo's teams played for the National Championship four times, winning two in the process.
Further, in the last two years when the football team has been somewhat less successful than it had been, many people rightly questioned Dabo's decisions, especially regarding DJU and Streeter's offense. DJU is gone, so is Streeter, and Dabo hired one of brightest offensive minds in the country. Oh, and they still won an ACC championship.
Also, at no time in his career has Dabo's teams ever lost to Morehead State or the equivalent. Heck, in a couple of those years, Dabo's teams only lost one game and that was in the National Championship.
If even one of Brownell's teams had even sniffed a Final Four or won an ACCT championship, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Heck, if CBB's teams had managed 6 NCAAT bids instead of 3 in 13 years, we might not be having this conversation. If CBB's teams could manage even the smaller task of not losing to teams ranked 150 places below them 2 or 3 or 4 times per year, we might not be having this conversation.
