to High Shoals Road like you're going to Broadway Lake. Just before you get to the bridge, there is a "Bridge Ices Before Road" sign. You will also notice places along the sides of the road where people have parked to check it out. About half way across the newer concrete bridge that generally has graffiti spray painted all over it, CryBaby Bridge will be on your left. You can't miss it.

Halfway between Broadway Lake road and highway 28, CBB is surrounded by thick forest. Pitch black at night makes the story come to life. I’m from Anderson and know the place well.
Getting out of your car and yelling “I know who killed your baby.” was fun as a teenager but it was creepy. Very creepy. If the wind was blowing, you couldn’t tell if you heard voices or if it was the trees swaying back and forth.
I had a friend with me one time and we took flashlights. We got spooked, jumped back in the car and raced away only later to find out we left our hats and flashlights. Did we go back? OHN.

I have spent the night in a supposedly haunted house.

We did experience some unusual events. And, since that night, after renovation of the house, there have been several other events happen there.

the Rock House outside Greenwood. Their address was on Rock House Road.
I was so excited when I was old enough for my Granddad to take me to see the Rock House. He mentioned the haunting but he said it was mostly used by drug addicts.
I have not been out there in over 30 years. May have to drive out there the next time I am in Ninety Six visiting my parents.

You beat me to it. This is one of those urban legends that many towns have, and it's always associated with the same "I know who killed your baby" or "I killed your baby" lines to be yelled out.

Right?! For us in HS, it was a "haunted" church in Edgefield

The details are a bit hazy but of course it was a "I heard"/"they said" kind of thing. No one could trace the original source. Of course, it was enough to kind of spook a bunch of High School kids late on a Friday night after football games. Flash forward many years later when my own kids were in high school, the exact same area all of a sudden had a "Cry Baby Bridge." Lol. I was outraged! Obviously our made up ghost stories were a lot better than theirs!
