This situation could be particularly bad with losing commits

and players. The reason being that usually when a coordinator leaves for another school, it is a school with a lot of issues (just fired a coach) or is not on the level if the school the coordinator is leaving behind. In this situation, Oklahoma is a big time school, that is in the top-10 as we speak. It will not be a step down for any commit, player or assistant to go there. For example if VEnables had taken the job at Kansa State, etc. it would not be likely that we would lose a lot of people. Sucks.

Man is full of integrity. He and Dabo are tight. I don’t see much of that happening. Possibly see Bates going with him if he is not offered DC. That’s about it.

I know that, but even if he doesn't do one thing to promote

1. I doubt we lose any commits to ou when BV leaves, he respects Dabo too much to even talk with the commits
2. We won't lose any players that we would have lost anyway because ou has the same scholly limit as Clemson, and I believe that any ou player that hasn't left yet, won't leave because of the BV hire.
3. I would not be surprised if any defensive player that did enter the portal rescinded his entry to the portal and return to ou, therefore, limiting an opportunity for any Clemson player to assume BV wants to take them with him to ou...

We won't lose commits to OU

but some could switch to whatever their second choice was.
