NorthAlbuquerqueTiger
1. WHat's your favorite IPA and how snooty is it ?
2. WHat's your favorite hazy DIPA and would Beefsteak® enjoy it ?
3. Sharting at orientation must have been very traumatizing, how much do you drink to forget ?
4. Would you describe CaptCrash as a pitcher or catcher ?
5. Since stubborn_tiger® and dawghater23 are the same person, which one is the troll handle ?

I don't think NorthAlbuquerqueTiger saw your post. Maybe somebody should tell NorthAlbuquerqueTiger that he is supposed to answer your questions.

1) Elevated IPA by La Cumbre Brewing, a local beer. It’s an old standard here. $9.99 for 4 pints. So the price and that it’s sold in a 4 pack makes it above average on the snoot scale.
2) Desert fog by Marble Brewing, just a hazy from here as well. It’s a great beer, but the headaches suck. Should be Beefsteak approved.
3) I’ve gotten past the drinking and own all my sharts these days. Anybody who looks down at my sh#t stains is lying about their shart history.
4) pitcher
5) dawghater23
What does Gitt mean?

OOOooooooooooo so close. Catcher. The answer we were going for was catcher. It probably would have helped if we included his Citadel ring in the question stem.

I used to miss the food, but not much else about New Mexico.

A few years of 6-8 week stints calling on accounts on the Roswell-Artesia-Carlsbad-Loving stretch, East to places like Lovington and Hobbs, and as far west as Tularosa and Alamogordo. Most of that is literally third world. Did quite enjoy weekends in Ruidoso and driving rental cars in excess of 100 miles an hour though. I'll never forget sitting in a hotel in Artesia smelling the oil refinery and paying a little over $3 a gallon for gas, when back here in SC it was hovering around $1 a gallon, which I found bizarre. I went out there thinking I would be worshipped as a god because I came from a land of trees and water, and was shocked to find out how many people thought it was terrifying to live somewhere that you couldn't step out the front door and see the horizon. Also one of the few places I've been where ostrich was as common on restaurant menus as steak. Didn't get to spend much time in Albuquerque other than to fly in and out.
Sorry for the trip down Memory Lane.

Sounds like you hit all of Eastern NM! Eastern NM is bland. I consider it West Texas, especially with the oil boom in the Permian Basin lately. No shortage of opportunity there, but living in the plains seems real boring. It does stink, either from cows or oil.
I don’t think the food is anything special. I like the chile culture, but it’s all about the same. And it’s so annoyingly spicy sometimes. Usually have one ripping hot meal and it turns me off of green Chile for a year. Enchiladas, tacos, burritos, tamales... good but you can only eat so much of it.
Alamogordo and Ruidoso are neat, but I’ve spent far more time in the Northern Mountains and Gila areas.
Glad to hear your stories about your time out here

when I first went out because there wasn't a lot of authentic here at the time. You do get tired of it after a while. I was glad to see some of the natural wonders like Carlsbad Caverns and White Sands. Hobbs was the only place I've even been in my life where I saw a Burger King, a McDonalds, and a Ford Dealership all closed because they went out of business. I seem to remember some high schools in that part of the state had shut down because they didn't have enough students to stay open. Also saw a news report one night saying that there 9 counties in New Mexico that did not have a dentist living in the there. Couldn't work for three days because it snowed 2 inches and EVERYTHING shut down from Artesia to Carlsbad...and I thought that just happened here, LOL. The other thing that shocked me not having been in the desert before was how cold it got at night. It was below freezing the night I sat and watched Clemson lose to Cal in the NIT final in 99 by a point. It had been in the low 70s during the day. Also stopped at a rest area one time between towns and the first thing I see in the parking lot is a sign warning to watch out for rattlesnakes. Went to the Mescalero Indian Casino one night with my coworker, and we were the only white people in there. I was amazed that the bulk of the clientele was Apache, and every one of them were smoking cigarettes and playing slots. New Mexico was, and probably still is, a whole other world.
