I'd like to see the purple tops/orange bottoms... It'd look super clean with the new patterns we have this season.

That looks horrible. Thank God we don't wear that combo anymore, or the purple pants with the white uni's.

^^Next to ALL ORANGE, this is my favorite. We won a lot with those unis. We need to wear them more often.

I just watched the first quarter of this game and nearly fell asleep...not because the game plan was boring or anything like that, but because the talent was just so blah and mediocre. The talent in this recording doesn't even compare to what we have now. These Bowden teams are almost unwatchable.

That was a weird season. We had 5 great performances

and were somewhere between abysmal and mediocre in the other 8. Defense actually played really well for most of the UGA game and against Maryland and NCST, but the offense couldn't do squat in any of those games. Everyone sucked in the Wake Forest massacre. Furman outscoring us 17-0 in the 2nd half was embarrassing too. I guess it just goes to show how little depth a lot of our teams in that era had.

We also waffled on our offensive identity.

We started the year wanting to be a power-I team. Finally realized Whitehurst could sling it, but abandoned the run. Couldn't seem to find the right mix until the end. Hence "The Finish."

I was sitting directly in the suns path in the Lower North Stands for that 03' UGA game. It was beyond hot! Old people were literally dropping like flies in the concourse areas and stands. Not trying to be funny at all, they were literally laid the hell out on the concrete. Very hot day, believe that game was either 14/16-0 UGA starting the fourth quarter. They wore us out in the fourth. That was the first game of that year when Tommy Bowden decided we'd become a smash mouth football team with 265 pound O-Linemen. Didn't work so well.
The late season run and Peach Bowl were great that year. Heck of an atmosphere against Tennessee in Peach Bowl. Certainly don't miss the inconcsistency of those Bowden teams.
2003 was also the last time we beat GT in Atlanta. Think that changes this year, but d@mn, that stadium has been a literal house of horrors for Clemson.
