I did it as a kid after every game !
Just read an article where there are tons of people freaking out bc it happened after the NC State game. I don't understand how so many people don't know it's a tradition..and not Field Storming.

Maybe it's the jumping over and off the brick stadium walls and running mad like they are being chased by Zombies that makes them think it's field storming. lol

I wish for once the announcers would understand it as a tradition and say something that could maybe help quell all the ignorant people. Maybe if we ever lost at home and they saw us meet at the paw they might understand that it’s not a “oh my lawd we’re losing our minds because we’ve never won anything before let’s rush the field” mentality, but rather a tradition.

The only thing I do wish is that they would’ve made an effort to prevent the rush immediately at the game’s end. I think the other team should be able to exit before the fans take the field, for safety. I’m honestly surprised that facilities made no attempt at that when reinstating after it was shut down for Covid precautions.
