Gas Problem

Mar 3, 2021, 3:54 PM

Biden owns the gas price problem that is disproportionately affecting lower-income people across the US. But, the echo chamber will give you 500 reasons why this plot has nothing to do with Biden unlike the same plot with a Y-axis called COVID Cases was 100% Trump’s doing.

Do any liberal politicians care? No. Why? Because they are hypocrites and caring now does not get them more votes.

Once the euphoria of beating COVID (thanks to the Trump vaccine) is over, increasing gas prices will not help the economy.

What leads you to believe that ANY President controls

Mar 3, 2021, 4:06 PM

gas prices? I assume you'll go with some XL Pipeline nonsense, as if a pipeline that wasn't even built, delivering costly and heinously dirty tar sand oil, is the cause for rising prices, and not something remedial like, I dunno, the economy recovering and demand going up.

What "problem" exactly? Avg gas prices were higher in...

Mar 3, 2021, 4:14 PM

2018 that they are now according to the data issued by the EIA.

Link: https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_gnd_dcus_nus_m.htm

Click on the download data series

Monthly avg all grades (column B)
2018:$2.82
2019:$2.69

Feb-21:$2.59

Current estimated avg for regular today is $2.73.

Please explain what you think Biden has done to cause cause prices to increase and why you don't think it has anything to do with OPEC and US cutting production last year due to COVID economic impact, the economy starting to come back now, and to a lesser extent the issues in Texas over the last 2 weeks.

I don’t know where you’ve been bro, but I do know from 2015-2020 I’ve paid less than $2 per gallon. I don’t really care about the national average, I know what I have paid from my pocket!

I know you only care about your own pocket, but I think any discussion about the President of the United States should probably be built around the national average.

Oh my! You are right! Why would I let a pesky thing like providing for my family. Paying my bills and living life the way I want to live get in the way of your greedy politicians best interest! How dare I!

If a slight change in gas prices impacts you greatly...

Mar 3, 2021, 10:51 PM

Your problem isn't the price of gas.

And how is the current president causing gas to go up?

You take care of your family. The President has to try to take care of the whole country. As such, the national average (you know, the actual data) is of concern to him. That is all I am saying.

No you haven't...gas has not been under $2 in Anderson...

Mar 3, 2021, 11:01 PM [ in reply to Re: What "problem" exactly? Avg gas prices were higher in... ]

that entire time.

You can pull data for Greenville (Anderson not an option) and see how it has moved. Not any different now than most of 2018 and 2019.

It has been the places I go. It hasn’t reached 2 until January 2021. I don’t need to pull data , I have receipts

Are you saying the President is responsible

for higher prices, but only specifically at gas stations you go to?

under $2/gal over that entire period.

I live in Anderson too...I would be very interested.

Ok kid, believe what you want. I have receipts. I don’t have to prove any thing to you. For 4 years I have filled my vehicle up for $44-50, last week it took $65. I don’t give a Shyt if you believe or not

#### you and your successful vaccine rollout Biden.

Mar 3, 2021, 11:00 PM

So since people are becoming optimistic the country is going to open sooner (read demand increases) and OPEC is holding steady: price increases. HTH.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It makes more sense to me that demand is going up

Mar 4, 2021, 7:27 AM

because things are starting to loosen up with the economy, more so than it's affected by a President doing something. The gas prices fell because of the pandemic, at least it appears so to me. The pandemic is winding down, thank God.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Demand dropped sharply, and production followed suit in

Mar 4, 2021, 8:08 AM

2020. Demand is steadily increasing now, and production hasn't come close to catching up yet, PLUS a ton of refining is offline in Texas now. MUST BE BIDEN'S FAULT.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-19b.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up
