If Dani goes outside in his coaching search. How about Gary Patterson? Not sure how he would recruit in this area, but Dabo is the recruiting master anyway.

Would have to assume he goes after one of these guys... Don't think Patterson will take a DC job, but I like the guy from Wisconsin. Only issue is that he played there. I'm not against the Marion Hobby or Todd Bates rumors. The new DC at Notre Dame did pretty well as a young guy!
My bigger concern is the OC. I feel like Joe Brady makes the most sense due to they style of offense and players we have. Very similar to LSU when they beat us. Not as talented, but similar.

alum so I doubt we will be able to pry him away. I also liked Grinch at OU but he went with Riley to USC, and Freeman at ND but he got the HC gig there.
Jim Knowles has done a really good job at OK St, but I'm not sure that one is realistic either.
Side note: I think scoring defense and total defense are very flawed metrics for evaluating defenses. There are many, many things they simply do not account for that newer metrics incorporate.

Manny Diaz was less mature than his players as a DC, was so incompetent as to make Kelly Bryant look like an All-American in the ACCCG, and a huge disappointment to his university as a HC.
Maybe you saw some maturity and growth happen in there somewhere. If so, I’d love to hear about it.
