Worst I’ve seen this season.
That’s exactly why the refs are told the wrong thing now - call it so it plays out on the field and then you can always review it. Had they just called it straight up they never would’ve called it a touch and recovery.

The initial ruling was that it wasn't touched by an Auburn player. Nothing about the way the refs called it on the field caused it to be overturned (by imagination) later.

Thanks, I missed that. Thought they called it Auburn touch and coot recovery on the field. That actually makes it worse. Thanks for the clarification though.

I could see the argument that it should stand if it had been called that it was touched on the field, but I didn't see anything remotely resembling enough evidence to overturn it not being touched. So weird. It just looks super fishy, and I say that as someone who typically tries really hard to see what the officials are seeing.

There is no way you can tell whether the ball hit the Auburn player. Certainly not enough evidence to overturn!

I can see it standing either way it was called on the field. But to suggest there was enough evidence to overturn it (unless they were privy to some angle we didn't see) is inventing evidence.

It's weird for a call to go our way, but I just can't even begin to imagine what the replay officials saw to overturn that.

Thanks for posting the video.
I just can't see it even grazing him. It only looks like it does from one angle and even in that angle the ball doesn't change rotations.
No idea how you make that call.
