Cool. ACC needs to hold their ground. When the big and sec decide to expand again to take the best of the rest from the other conferences, Clemson can FINALLY dump this conference. I call that a win!!

The SEC wants the expansion for money and money only, they said so.
Alabama will always find a way into the playoff- it is just a fact.
Georgia has come to the conclusion that they are a national powerhouse once again- lets see what happens now that they have a ton transfers and the coaches are bailing- will it be LSU-2.0.
The SEC feels that in a 12 team playoff- that will and should have no less than 6 teams in. It does not matter if they are good or not, we all know a loss against an SEC team is better than a win against anybody outside the SEC.
Let them have their super conference- people, in my opinion, will stop watching them.

Clemson gets good ratings. I can't say the same for most of the ACC. They had the top-rated non-New Year's Day Bowl. And, it seems the ratings for that bowl were way up from previous years.

The NCAA has always been cyclical in domination. In the 70s and early 80s it was Nebraska/Oklahoma. In the late 80s and 90s FSU/Miami. It's foolish to think that Saban at 70 years old will coach another decade. Once he's gone will the SEC still possess the "top dog"? Dabo has already faired well against him and we've seen two of his former assistants finally break through and defeat him in the same year. Odds are he'll have to get by these two up and comers every year if he expects to win the SEC. Is he washed up? no way, but he's closer to retirement than he is the beginning of his career. I'm reminded of the lean years at Alabama after Bryant and Stallings when losing began to impact the quality of players they could draw and other schools became the place to be. Winning draws media, media draws recruits. The conferences will one day reshuffle but one thing we can be sure of, the University of Stupid Children will always be a drag on whatever conference they are in.
