Future Clemson Golfer Wins 5A Golf State Championship

Gaffney High School won the 5A Golf State Championship by 28 SHOTS thanks to medalist and future Clemson golfer Zack Gordon's 16 under par, including a course record final round of 62. He was 2 shots ahead of his teammate Seth Taylor (Coastal Carolina Commit), who fired a final round 64 to finish at 14 under par.

16 under, musta been playing the Kardashian course, can't miss those holes so easier to get a lower score! Geez, I can't believe I went there with that! But I am jesting here, congrats to the kid and it's great to be a TIGER!

Played CCSC in Florence. Very strong track that has hosted Nike tour event before it became the web.com tour. Talked to a high school coach this morning who confirmed they played the back tees. For two players to shoot 128 and 130 on that course is unbelievable. Gordon and Bridgeman from Chapman who won the AAA tournament at Cross Creek by 9 shots will be welcome additions to a lineup that brings back Pettit,Patton,Cottam and Nottingham.
