both teams have rich football tradition and I think both schools are on the upswing in football. Make no mistake, I don't think they're a Texas or Oklahoma, but none the less I think they're good additions.

FSU would be going with us from my understanding so you can scratch them off the list of those that won't be coming to Death Valley.

I think the thing that attracts most people to a new league is playing teams we don't get to normally see. I understand the want for newness, but I don't think that's a good reason to switch conferences. I'd be all for playing any one of those teams non conference though.
People also think too much of the now when thinking about jumping leagues. This new ACC hasn't been together too long and when it expanded it happened to do it when the top teams were in a downswing. Things are about to shift back imo with the top teams. We're gonna be a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. FSU is on the upswing, I think Miami is as well. VT and GT are still solid.
In the Big 12 you see Texas has hit the rough patch of late and I don't think Oklahoma St can sustain what they've been doing. Baylor is gonna drop off, you see where Texas Tech is now. I think Oklahoma is really the only solid option over there right now to sustain success for a few years.
I'm sorry, but I like the future of the ACC better.

Va Tech I would miss... would not miss GT.. I hate them.. hate going to ATL and they own us. I think our winning percentage against them is like 32%.

This is a power move. There are so many caveats to this agreement it is ridiculous. It basically puts us in the best position to get to a National Title. Period. If things go through as they are right now, the ACC is pretty much out of the picture in football. But the biggest thing you have to remember is that these are a bunch of lawyers. It is bound to change 5000 times before it is ever signed. Really should have seen it from the beginning though. Big 12 is home for TDP.

I like the te ams and the potential money where I'm

struggling is with Clemson being an outlier in a conference, so far out of the geography. I used to laugh about TCU in the big east and BC in the ACC.
The SEC would work, but to me the only fits for Clemson are the ACC or SEC, with one exception. If the Big12 went to 16 with the infamous "pod format" and our pod of 4 was ALL teams in the southeast. Example, Clem/FSU/GT/VT. Just a thought.

Agreed. If, and imo that is a BIG if, this does go through, the geography bothers me. We travel well because we really don't have to go very far for most games. No matter how bad I want out of the ACC and away from Swafford; I'm not up for spending thousands every other week for an away game.

I'm with you, but your argument is ridiculously slanted

Yeah, cherry pick the best teams from the Big XII in your argument, but include the worst in the ACC. TD me if you want - I hate the ACC as much as you, but I hate how you've worded your argument. Here's how it looks the other way using your logic:
All I can think about is the likes of...
Kansas Jayhawks....Texas Tech Red Raiders...Iowa State Cyclones...and Kansas State Wildcats coming into Death Valley instead of the likes of...
Virginia Tech Hokies... Florida State Seminoles... Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets... and Miami Hurricanes
Just sayin...
