FSU or @NCSU

Sep 10, 2021, 2:35 PM

Which game feels more like a trap? I watched most of ND vs FSU, and none of Nancy's Tate game. I thought FSU played well late and they certainly gave themselves a chance in spite of some questionable coaching decisions ( going for it on 4th and short in the 3rd quarter at their own 33). I saw another poster mention that Dave and the fighting laptops have a tendency to have Dabo's number, especially Raleigh, so that one could get interesting.

Thoughts?

Dabo is 5-1 vs NC State in Raleigh. The last game up there

(2019) we won 55-10. So I would say no, the fighting laptops do not have Dabo's number in Raleigh.

Fair, I was thinking back to the 2017 game. That was my one and only trip to Raleigh. I got a very Columbia/Willy B feel from the fans....

Nancies Taint could be a tight one

I’ve never understood how a football game can be a “trap”

especially for this program.

So I’m gonna go with neither.

And yet we’ve had games like Syracuse, Pitt, and the oh so close NC State game.

Yeah, we just didn’t play well. It’s the word “trap” that gets me…

as if there was a game there that we didn’t know about.

If there is any program that is good at focusing on the task at hand, I believe it’s Dabo’s program.

Clemson is 15-1 against Nancy State in the last 16 meetings

Sep 10, 2021, 2:49 PM

The one loss during that 16 year period was in 2011. Most (but not all) have been extremely one-sided in Clemson's favor.

Ole Dave is 0-fer against Clemson.

We play GT before NC State and the jackets are a dumpster fire. NC state could be a top 20 team when we play so not a trap game by my definition. BC is right after NC state and that looks like a trap game to me. They may be our toughest opponent left on the schedule. Glad we have them at home.

FSU is better and Milton is a huge upgrade at QB but our d-line will be a huge problem for them. We should be much more dialed on offense by then as well. Not concerned.

IMO the best opponent on the schedule is BC.

After that, FSU.

Then NCST, then Pitt, then Louisville.

at Syracuse on a Friday night. Perhaps not a by definition a Trap Game, but the last time we played there on a Friday night, it didn't end well. At least its not Friday the 13th.

What is the definition of “trap game”?***

If we can’t run the ball and our QB doesn’t have time to throw. We have 4-5 teams that could give us fits .
Let’s just hope by the 5-6 game our D is not a mash until from being on the field for ever.
